I heard Indians called Ah Cha's because ah cha is how you say "good" in a Indian language. Is this true?

oh... I thought it was because.... A Chinese guy went up to ask an Indian person something. The Indian person didn't understand, so he said, "ha cha? ha cha" (which means, "what? what?")

So from that day on, they have been known as "ah cha" LOL
