If I'm not mistaken, I believe satan was a fallen angel...

Yes believing in god is good. But what pisses me off is when people waste their time and money in churches and other institutions when the search for god should be something that an individual does for himself. I agree with lilchoconut and also Don't spend too much time trying to get into heaven while the here and now passes you by. Just live a morally good life and do what you think is right and if god is that teribble to judge you cause you didn't dedicate your entire life to him and go to church all the time then he's not that much of a god imo.

I totally agree with you.
I personnally don't believe in god but i don't pretend to hold the ultimate truth either. Morality doesn't need to rest on any religion, it's a matter of how you perceive good or evil, which is rather defined by your culture. And i consider religion to be a personnal issue (my parents come from two different religions, neither being really a fervent believer. But i still see them both as good people).
If believing in god, whichever it is, can give you hope, it's a good thing anyway.

Two smart people right there. eyes

You know what I find interesting and that kind of points at the complexity of God is how Man and Woman were created in the Image of God. We both see the differences but we each bear the image of God.

It says in the Bible he was God's favorite Angel, then he tried to overthrow heaven. Lucifer, right?

yes Satan is an angel at first. Because of his greedness on becoming a god and overcome the world he become what he is now. But let me tell you the truth, Satan won already, everybody in this world is fill with greedness, selfish, lie, and yeah..

i don't know what my faith is and don't think i will ever know. All i know is that i will continue to live on until god want me to die. ^__^ Then another thing, if god doesn't want the human pair to eat the apple. And set it up that they won't eat it, then i don't think they would. Unless god set up the faith that they will eat it.

Well I think a better word for Faith is trust. I don't think adam and eve trusted God's word when he told them not to eat from that tree. God is a perfect being unstained by sin. When we sin we seperate ourselves from God. We tell him that our way is better than his way. But we sometimes forget that God is not our enemy. He loves us very much. When a mother tells her child not to touch the fire, she does it out of love not to dominate over the childs will. Our God is our heavenly Father and he wants whats best and that sometimes means we need to humble ourselves and ask who knows better God of me?

Erm... so it's like a mother burning her child till he/she's permanently scarred just so they won't touch fire ever again?

I unfortunately have to disagree with you here. I don't think satan won. He was completely and utterly defeated at the Cross. He ceratinly could have us all under the condage of sin and on a one way ticket to hell. But God put an end to it by giving his son Jesus so that whoever believes in him could have eternal life instead of death.

If god was all powerful one thing I never understood is how come his greatest product failed in such a short time (adam and eve). Why'd he give them curiousity if it would only lead to their downfall confused

we can never be sure those who keeps on saying "i believe in god" and their appearance saying that they has no greed, selfish, and never lie for their greedness before. No one is perfect and that is true, and that is why we, the human, has 70% of Satan's part, the other 30% of god is trying to help us maintain our lives.

If you think Satan did not won, think about all those lives that had sacrifice because of us who listen to Satan and made wars.

i don't think thats what was meant, at least i certainly hope not O_O

but that does bring up the point that although a mother may warn a child not to touch the flame for it would bring him pain... if he touches it anyways.. would it be considered that he did not trust his mother or rather that his thirst for knowledge/his curiosity got the better of him or well both?

well i can imagine as a child even if you have listened to your mother... you may still have that curiosity no? anyone ever tried touching a flame afterwards? ^^; to see the extent of its heat?
