I usually hate shounen. Shoujo is so much cuter and prettier.
'Yaoi tends to havethe best but I get sad cause its yaoi. D:
Shoujo is extremely detailed compared to shounen so that last point is moot.

i think the pool doesn't make much sense, manga art has a veeeery wide range of types, you can't really just classify it as shoujo and shounen.
The difference is massive and I can tell RIGHT away.
There isn't much else that separates the two.

In shoujo however, if I didn't know any better I'd think that there were only 3 shoujo authors for all shoujo romance mangas. There's like only 5-6 character designs each for male and female protagonists. At least give more variety in hair style.
Shoujo art isn't very detailed either.
And there are many different styles if you pay attention.
Kayono
Matsumoto, Tomo
Yazawa, Ai
Aogiri, Natsu
Asakura, George
Kaneyoshi, Izumi
Fujiwara, Kaoru
Fujiwara, Kaoru
Kitagawa, Miyuki
Takaya, Natsuki
Suzuki, Julietta
...and I could go on...All these authors have different styles and the list goes on. Don't say they all look the same when you obviously don't read any shoujo.

Shounen. I like both, as long as they're nice. But when it comes to 'dream guys', must be shounen 😀
I think shoujo art is cute, but not many stand out (my only favourite is Ai Yazawa's). On the other hand, many shounen get worse, sloppier (HxH for example), but when they were still nice, or the ones that keep their quality, are truly amazing (all the art not just guys lol)

Shounen. It can be just as pretty as shoujo, but has more diversity.
I like mahwa art better in any genre.
But it all comes down to the particular artist. Both genres have plenty examples of both great artwork and really awful artwork.
Shounen > Shoujo.
Honestly, there is no diversity in Shoujo art like someone said before me. Sure, there are subtle differences that can be spot by a Shoujo expert, but by an outsider: no. Shoujo art covers always look the same and have like 3-5 main variations and that's all. 😐 They should be more daring and be like Five's mangaka who has a very distinctive style of drawing. I don't even read it nor her other works, and yet I know her, because she draws so distinctive! O_O In Shounen, there is a lot more variety, in my opinion. Just look at the big three.

I like shoujo art. For me, I like those big shoujo eyes. HAHAHA! I like how shoujo artists drew those characters. Despite them being "weirdly-thin" or anything, they still looked great to me.
Shoujo art is the reason I can't read them. I really just can't deal with the art work. I've tried but it's just not for me.
There are a few however, that I do like, but it's safe to say the majority of Shoujo art, I don't like.
The art work is important when I'm reading a manga. I like well drawn manga, and Shounen art fulfills that critera (most of the time).
That's actually the reason why I've read so much Shounen. Sure the plots are similar, but if it's got nice art, that's usually alright for me.
...I feel so shallow 🤣

^This
Shonen: more realistic (apart from b00bs ofc, but we have the even more unnatural plated yes in the shoujo district)
And prolly manhwa shoujo > manga shoujo, artwise and proportionwise: just a feeling though.

Ima shoujo (i think more romance than shoujo) fan but....
Shoujo: The cutes, most beautiful faces ur ever see, but in most cases the back grounds and characters detail is just too plain simple
Shonen: The uggliest characters with scars and bruises but with great detail on the background, arms, machines, casttles, etc.... so yea, regarding art, shonen does kik ass 😛

Same. Somehow shounen art isn't as messy as the usual shoujo is, which makes it lighter for me to read + I read it faster. This way at least I don't waste a lot of my time with brainless shounens.
At the same time shounen can get a bit annoying with fanservice consisting of big-breasted girls and the like 🙄 I'd rather watch bishies
Shojo art all the way.

Obviously I do read shoujo that's why I can tell. And like I said, there ARE exceptions but the majority of them? Looks like copy and paste art work. Any real differences you see are subtle at best.

art wise shonen (backgrounds, people who look male exist here...muscle shape basicaly lots of detailed stuff drawn with great precision and skill) not all is great but most of it is here<------
shoujo!( cute, cudly, fury, glass eyes"optional", dangerously tall with no muscle tone abnormaly looking people, casts of only girls, slightly older girls and extremly manly girls "thats right no men, yea i did say it, that race died in this jonre 🤣 " , no shoulder definition, they just vary in wiedth<---that makes guys look like girls even a little shape come on, women who have biger busts don't exist even flat chested girls are usualy shapeless, and the lack of backgrounds) this is how i spot a shoujo without being told it is one...sorry.
BUT of course there are exceptions this is just the majority.

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.
