I so totally agree with that one. The day I tear my hair out will be if one day we all learn that Kyoko and Shou were meant to be. I really hope that doesn't happen, cause I might jump into the manga and shish-kabob Shou.

Though I don't quite have a pairing that I completely detest yet. Maybe this one:
For Moe Kare:
In Moe Kare when Hikaru broke up with Takara and ended up with Arata. I liked Arata, but just not enough to want to see him get together with Hikaru, because I really liked seeing Hikaru with Takara. But I don't really hate the Arata/Hikaru pairing enough to detest it...
Or maybe this one for Absolute Boyfriend:
I didn't like the robot love deal. A perfectly bishie real guy who is in love with her and she choses a robot. Sad as the ending was, I still think she should have realized who's been with her the whole time.

Hmm, I don't she was second best, actually. Yuki may have just been stubborn about
holding on to his past, and sometimes that nostalgia and those past feelings may influence a person to choose the past over their present feelings. I think that Yuki had already began having ! feelings for Sachi. There were plenty of scenes to support that view.
I'm glad he realized
his feelings , despite how painful that was for me, because I cared a lot about Sachi and Akemi, though I did continue hoping Saya would fall in love with ! Akahoshi.
But I realize that was just me giving him pity. I just hate the ones that try hard but end up w/ the short endof the stick. 😔

As much as I love Nana, and obviously it's not to be a manga with super happy fun endings, I think...
Ren dying so that obviously Nana doesn't end up with him
and
Hachi still being with or whatever she is, with Takumi
Both make me sad!

Hot gimmick... cries bitterly need i say anymore... it was seriously like every good thing as a reader you would like to happen and this isnt just me siding with a character this is in general is utterly destroyed it was so ridiculous it could have been funny it was one of those books that when you finish it you feel kinda betrayed T_T ... not that i get offended by a manga but you know what i mean!

I found Fruits Basket on the whole to be pretty wrong.
I didn't finish it and don't think I ever will. For the first time ever, I'm glad for spoilers. I mean Akito and Shigure? what what WHAT!? This really confused me because, last time I checked Akito was both male and cousins with Shigure! So then I found out apparently Akito is actually female but that doesn't make it less weird at all. If I HAD to pick an incestuous coupling for Akito, I would pick Yuki, if the whole psychological abuse thing didn't happen.

Maybe I´m allways at the side of the second guy in love triangels, but I really didn´t like Sano. Nakatsu liked her even when she was a he, that´s true love (somehow funny thought). Sano was like emotionless. Poor Nakatsu.
I really allways cheer for the second guy more. Especially when he´s this type. Calm and smart.
that ending was just so bad, she picked him, but he will die, but she will have his baby at that time, so Yuuhi, you just be a good boy, and care for the girl the picked ME over you, and MY baby, OK? And don´t worry, she will eventually lost the kilos, which she gained while being pregnant with MY baby. Oh, and that baby will probably be an alien, so don´t panic, when MY baby will kill you one day. Ciao

This hasnt really happened to me thankfully. Except maybe with Moe Kare and even then I was ok with the final pairing. I just dont like how forced it felt. The whole
childhood friend showing up and screwing everything up was just..ugh. It was so obvious it was just to break up the couple and pair the heroine off with Arata. I'd rather have things fall apart in a different way and have her end up with Arata that way. The way it was done was so horribly cliche.
But other then that it hasnt happened to me because I only start series where I know the final pairing or its incredibly obvious because there are two leading characters rather then one. An example of two leading characters is Lovely Complex,Kare Kano, Faster Than a Kiss, and Kaichou wa Maid-sama!. In all those series from chapter 1 its obvious what the final result would be and that is why I love it. No nasty surprises. Instead you can just watch and enjoy the main couple rather then biting your nails over whether your pairing works out. (Skip Beat, Vampire Knight)
