Shoujo/Josei lacking in the romance department/ or friendship manga

I know I and alot of you love your self some romance but sometimes I know I get annoyed with romance occasionally. So what are some manga you enjoy that are devoid (or the romance isn't a large part.)
I really like
Host Club ~ I know it's gotten considerally more romancy but it wasn't like that at first. Sorta miss it.
The Wallflower - Well I haven't read the latest couple of volumes, but this was I swear my favorite cracky romanceless (because I refuse to let cliched romance ruin this manga for me) manga. I was suprised that I loved it so much when I first read it.
Life - No romance in rhe slightest, also I've never smiled while reading this. And while a girl's romance is central to the plot (in a roundabout or not so roundabout way) it's not the focus.
Vitamin by Kieko Suenbo - There is a little romance (I'd rather not call it that though) in the beginning but a really good manga about bullying. (How I love Suenbo)
Any one like manga that pure friendship between maidens is prominant? I do but sadly I don't know many.
Deep Love ~ I think the friendship in here is so touching.
ahh that's all I can think of :/

Does Skip beat count? I enjoy it mainly because of the character growth of the lead character and her unorthodox heroine attitude but there is a romance of sorts creeping up on the story

Mmmm, Hands Off! is about friendship between guys. When I was reading it I kept going back to make sure there wasn't a shounen ai tag. (It's not.) Yeah, friendship between maidens is in SB, a bit. Kyoko certainly worries about it more than she does actual love. Though I won't say whether she worries about her relationship with Ren more or not. I'm not sure. I think Kyoko wants SB to be what you're looking for. 🤣
They say it's the thought that counts, but then they tell you, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions......"

Gokusen is something I loved that didn't have much romance. It was really only a one sided crush for the bulk of the story, and I liked it better that way.
I'm also with eveyone on skip beat, as I love the character the development of Kyoko more than the romance factor in it.

Oh I love Gokusen it's one of my favorite josei. I am also glad there isn't any romance going on between her in the student. >)
I must give Skip Beat another try.

Mangas that I know of that don't really highlight romance are:
1.) Taiyou no Ichiwaru
2.) Yawarakai Kara
3.) Shutter Love
1 and 2 are a collection of short stories that are very poignant. On the other hand, Shutter Love is quite a fast paced manga dealing with two highly skilled and competitive photographers.

What about Nana? I know it's got romance, but it's got friendship too, right?
I agree with kawaii on Life. Seriously, that is one intense series. And no romance, that's for sure. I count it as a guilty pleasure: I feel guilty for enjoying characters who're so twisted. But yeah, main focus is clearly friendship... or lack thereof.

Tamara- mystery, sort of a friendship between an eccentric young model and a young female manager, no romance
Nico Nico Diary- parental sort of bonding- very cute
There are many more but notable ones usually have mystery or romance or supernatural in them...otherwise its slice-of-life

Glass no Kamen is mainly about a girl trying to be a great actress in the theater world, but it has some romance in it as well.
I read so much mangas, I'm too lazy to watch anime! 😛 😛 😛

All I can think of or remember currently is Beauty Pop. This goes for the sequel as well. Yeah... It's only one manga series, but that's all I could come up with.
