This is similar to my last thread 'dark/ scary characters' if I recall, but I'm being a bit more specific with my asking for recommendations now. However if it isn't allowed, feel free to lock it.

Anyway, for anyone who has watched the movie 'The Ring' and seen the scary ghost girl with long hair, you'll know what I'm talking about. Can anyone recommend me stories with a character such as this? Mangas that I've read that have contained such characters are Sunako of Perfect Girl Evolution Sawako off Kimi ni Todoke and even Zion off Mana

So what I''m looking for is a character that has a 'ring- girl' like personality or even only has this in terms of appearance (i.e. Sawako of Kimi ni Todoke). This might be a bit hard cos I don't know of to many mangas that have a character like this, but any suggestions would be very welcome.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei has a couple parody characters that have that certain milieu.

This isn't a manga, but Alma from the computer game F.E.A.R. is exactly like you describe. Basically she is a little girl (major spoiler that will ruin the game if you haven't played it yet)

theres a girl like that for a short while in gantz(series has alot of oneshot characters), they even call her sadako as a nickname. she's maybe 5 or so volumes in

it's a pretty trippy series tho(insane violence, sex, nudity, crisp art, weird plot)

Book Club is good, but its not released all that much....

Oh, I've got one! Sket Dance has a secondary character like Ring-Girl (she's more actually-creepy than Sunako or Sawako, and she's not in every chapter, but the series is hilarious so you should read it anyway 😀 😀 )

Also, M to N no Shouzou's main character has long long black hair and I think I remember a resemblance to Ring-Girl at times throughout the series (maybe... this is kinda a stretch).

Ahoaho - have read Zetsubo sensei, but thanks for the suggestion. Has to be one of my favorite series at the moment. It's very funny! (in a gloomy way)

If anyone has anymore suggestions they would be be very welcome, even if the character in question only reminds you a little of a 'ring-like' girl. Any genre would be great as well.
