Beings that..

Ok, I'm looking for something a little different then my normal requests.
I want a story about beings coming from... somewhere else, out to destroy the human race, however one of them make friends with a human and fight the other ones. (Examples; Parasyte, Inugami, or, at a stretch, Shingetsutan Tsukihime .) Of course, its ok if they DON"T make friends with a human, and the human is just fighting them. (Errr... Highschool of the Dead, Blaster Knuckle, Claymore.) Or what could happen is that the other thing could try to posses them but fails mostly, so they keep their human consciousness. (Kurozakuro, World Embryo.)
It doesn't have to have lots of violence, but thats preferred. Also, nothing too... Sci-Fi space men movie-ish, ok?
Edit- Please post the link to the manga you're suggesting. Thanks!

I bet you'll like Aflame Inferno even though it's manwha and it's not about destroying humanity.. You could also try Immortal Regis and yes it's a manwha too, but it's pretty good.

hell yes
"When god gives you lemons, find a new god."
Not exactly what you asked for, but similar for some aspects there is Bokurano. All the other ones I can come up you already read it or they are in your wish list.
What I like in Trivial Pursuit style. Pick your category:

Erm. This is not action-driven like most of the titles you've suggested, but it does have a non-human protagonist who eventually-sort-of teams up with a human being in order to defend humanity from its own kind. Petshop of Horrors. Count D is a non-human person who is at least indirectly responsible for the deaths of several humans, and indeed has been raised to hate humans, but he eventually chooses to side with the human race.
A great many vampire stories also qualify, with vampires becoming friends with humans or even becoming vampire hunters. The "somewhere else" they come from can be an alternate dimension, some kind of Hell, or an unknown world that has yet to be discovered. Among them: Blood+, Blood Alone, Vampire Hunter D and Vassalord. In some cases, the vampires were earthbound to begin with, but not in all of them. In VHD, there are spaceships that hint at the vampires having come from another planet...
Safe Again Today has a unique but interesting reversal of your concept. The aliens are all very friendly with humans, but a xenophobic government agent nearly destroys them before deciding to join them instead.
Sergeant Frog is a hilariously weird pastiche of the alien-joins-us story.
Sorry I wasn't of more help! I love this scenario! Parasyte is one of my favorite alien stories, ever.
Read manga with the following themes...
Politics
Power Couples

Thanks for all the suggestions! Darker then black isn't really what I was looking for though, and neither is Elfen Lied, although that was close.
Immortal Regis does look about right. I'll check it out. Although I've already tried Aflame inferno and didn't like it.
Bokurno isn't what I was looking for. Thanks though!
Ooh, thanks for all the suggestions, At. I'll defiantly check them out. Although the last two I probably won't, because I'm not really looking for comedy.
