Never really thought about this but yeah i go silent if i talking with someone and stranger passes by. Maybe its because my things is not their businnes or maybe because i think they hear something embarassing. When talking on phone i dont do the same though :<

Usually I don't care and just keep talking, but once I did go silent. Me and my friend were going through the park at 3 am to get to our houses faster and we were walking on a path surrounded by trees on both sides when from around the bend two dark figures with pale white faces showed up. They were quiet not saying a word. Me and my friend went quite and clenched our fists because some people were killed or hospitalized in that park. When the other two people drew near we barely saw that it was two goths in long black leather coats and white makeup on their faces. Freaky stuff.

Kind of depends on what I'm talking about or what the situation is. For instance, if I'm in my work uniform and I'm saying something that would come back to me - some customer calling and complaining that they saw a bunch of employees from our store talking inappropriately - I'd probably lower my voice or be silent. Other times, it wouldn't matter as much.

if someone passes between me and my friend, ill stop talking. if someone just passes near us- no.

depends on wut im talking bout...but ya a lot of the time i do and say nothing as i pass by someone....

I use a very specific language with my friends, someone who doesn't know us won't have a clue what we're talking about, so no, I never stop talking.

And really important matters can wait untill we reach some restaurant.
