I always do, I don't why.

When I'm with friends at the restaurant or at the bar and the waitress come to attend our table, I always stop speaking. I don't know why I do that, it's a reflex.

Quote from amaranthine

No, except when we're talking about them, which is pretty obvious when we suddenly shut up.

Bwahaha! Same. O_O

And it always happens with the kind of friends I have. Like they would judge people's clothes or hair and when that person just happened to pass by everyone would keep quiet as if nothing was going on. But during two occasions the strangers did notice, and we ran. I didn't even say anything. >__>

Polite bump.

It depends. I mostly quiet down a bit, when someone passes by. Though sometimes I can be so enthusiastic, that I don't really care. 😮 Haha, I know some people that aren't ashamed at all... They just talk about private/intimate things on a cramped bus, IN A LOUD VOICE. I have a strange sense of admiration for them. D':

About the "talking-about-someone-then-shutting-up", some people have perfected that technique, and when said person is walking by and trying to join the convo, they subtly (and expertly) change the topic subject, as if they were talking about it all along.

Kind of scary... @__@;;

Nope 😛 ! If my friend(s) and I have something that important to talk about, then we just discuss it in private somewhere. Simple as that. 🤨

Otherwise, we say whatever we want around whomever we want 😃 . But we're not jerks with it or anything like that. And I don't generally talk about people either, so....

No, I just keep on talking with my friends about whatever. With most people, if they just walk by and they see that you and your friend stopped talking to each other when they passed by, the person's going to think that you're talking about them.

No I don't stop talking. I just keep saying what I have to say. I don't talk about people I don't know so yea it's no point in stopping unless they have something to say to me. Now some of my friends have a habit of talking about ppl they don't know and they won't stop talking about hat person even if they pass them. But if it's someone they know they shut up. I guess its because they don't know that person and they don't care. 😛

Who cares about the stranger? We could be talking about a plot to destrory the world, it wouldn't matter. Me and my friends have double meanings to everything we say, so we could speak over microphones and not have to worry about it.
