I had a erection in front of class once, but luckily I was behind a table so no one knew. I carried on my presentation longer just to wait until it went away. I think that was in middle school and it was the worst thing ever because it took awhile for it to go away and I was running out of things to say.

When I was in High school a guy had an erection in the middle of a speech. Everyone noticed and some girls were giggling. The best part is that he looked down and saw it so he quickly adjusted it up (so it was against his stomach and didn't stick out) and continued on the speech like nothing happened. It was hilarious and the teacher made him stay after class. The teacher told him when that happens next time, not to touch it or adjust it and just ignore it because when he reached in th epants it would be lewd and he would get in trouble. LOL

That has to suck. I don't know what I would do if it popped up when I wasn't hidding behind anything. I think I would have to at least stand in a way where no one could tell what was going on. I don't even think I would be willing to move it. And also since Cell Phones can take pictures, someone could take a picture of that event and show it to everyone, that would suck so much.

😲 I didn't know that was even possible. 🤣 I can't think of anything funnier that I've witnessed while they're making a speech.

This is not a horror story.....more like a chicken soup story

When I was in JR high I had to do an oral presentation of the book report I did. I was prepared and read the book and practiced and everything. But then when I got up to give the speech, I got about 1/4 way through and had a memory dump. I was stuck and nervous and couldn't remember what to say next. I was so nervous and shy that I was quiet for about 1 minute and was shaking a little bit. Even little tears where in my eyes. I was a very unpopular nerd type who got made fun of at the time of jr high so I though I didn't have any friends and everyone would laugh at me forever.

But then a girl in the class said it was ok and that everyone there was a friend and that I could relax and start when I ws ready, then another kid agreed with her and I saw other kids nodding and I felt like the whole class was supporting me. It was enough to help me get back on track with the presentation and I ended up getting a "B" on the report.

After that day I never had a problem speaking to a group of people again.

Well I remembered something else I did that might not really be "embarrassing" but it was kind of funny. Last year in my Creative Wrtting class we were supposed to do a "How to Presentation" and I waited intill the morning it was due to actually think of what I wanted to do, which I chose Devil Sticks. I actually didn't do any research on them at all, I actually didn't even know what they were called when I did the presentation. Anyways someone asked me what they were made of, and I replied "Wood and rubber (no jokes about this)... And this part is made of... uhhh... Somekind of material of some kind." It taught me I need to do more research, which I still haven't utilized. Oh and if you are wondering I somehow got a A on that project.

For Vince: I wish that would happen to me. It also sounds like it would happen in some sort of movie where a nerd realizes he has friends and becomes the coolest kid on the block.

I was just thinking, are we allowed to talk about embarrassing moments? Because this is a thread about would you rather speak or die.

we are all talking about public speeches, so I think the embarrassing stories are ok.

Also, I did not become popular after that happened. I think I am probably the only one who remembered it a week later. I bet they only said that so I would finish my speech and sit down. I remained unpopular for the rest of my Jr. High experience

Yes, it might be a better idea to start a new thread about the most embarrassing moments (if there isn't one already) and post in it.

and Mamsmilk, making a post with just "HAHAHAHA" is mostly considered spam.

I am pretty stiff at first, but when I get the gears roll
then nothing can stop the rhapsody.
Sometimes I speed up so much that people
cannot even hear wht I am saying when I pout
four words in a second. o.o
I don't even realise that I speed up all the time
and if there is a lot of people speaking at the same
time, I'll just go louder nad louder.

I really don't mind speaking in front of people, well, of course I'm nervous, but talking in front of a lot of people can be fun. Atleast I always try to have a good time, puit in some jokes, do humourous things, you know all that jazz.

I've been performing for ages, since I was seven on the piano. I'm nowhere near as good at public speaking as music performance, but capable enough. All it really takes is practice. I still get stage freight of all kinds, but not enough for me to back out.

My most embarrassing moment was at my last induction speech for NHS. I didn't plan properly and stuttered more than I wanted to. And music-wise, when my voice cracked during the sight singing part of the AP music theory exam and it sounded terrible. It was in front of the intimidating proctor, so that counts.

I'm glad that I'm female now. Because when we do have that problem, it's not only nowhere near as obvious and not noticeable, we probably don't know that it happened at all.

I voted laugh! Being insane is fun.

I would die...I am terrible with a crowd, I almost look confident when I'm on a stage or in front of class, but inside I'm spazzing out 😲
