Description
From CMX:
High school student Yukari Fujimaru knows a potential star when she sees one…because she sees the special "aura" they give off, in the form of angelic wings. Yukari's fellow student, the beautiful Ryoko Katsuragi, has a small pair of wings herself, and is one of these aspiring talents. She's so talented, in fact, that no one even knows that "she" is actually a boy in disguise. Now, to make her own down-to-earth dream come true, Yukari must help her new friend become a star.

Totally not slice-of-life. by Lillian on February 5th, 2010, 7:40am

The entire story has weird settings, unfinished stories and unrealistic characters. Its progress is flat - the artificial random dramas thrown in don't change that. It seems to me they just exist to introduce yet another character. They all get a raw deal and done with it, moving to the next one. The reactions to the dramas are unrealistic but pretty cliché. Secrets get presented to the main char likes some dish in a self-service sushi bar.
The main pair has hardly a progress in the romance sector. A blush here and a heart beat there and that won't change (so don't start this one with any hopes - no don't!).

Comes like a bad version of Fruits Basket (FB does have the length to actually tell a story with depth).

The CEO of the Peacock firm is very unprofessional, that it's annoying. Even the weirdo CEO from Skip Beat! has more professionalism.

Things feel so randomly thrown at you without further thought whether it actually suits the flow or even make sense. My common sense threw up over this. Esp. about the 10 years timeskip near the end when nothing was solved in the past already *sigh* I was like 'wtf, is this for real' and checked whether I missed some pages - but not, it's for real.
But still I wanted to know how it ends. The threesome was still interesting (but the katana guy was the best :3).

Seven volumes are just not enough for the amount of characters and stories. Either lessen the chars and stories or make it proper with depth and more volumes at the end (and some real romance pls).

The first 2 volumes were ok but with the 3rd one I already got bored of it. And since the ending was disappointing too I cannot recommend this piece.
Since it has such a high rating, I seem to be one of the minority to dislike this piece - so please ignore my opinion. I don't speak for the masses.

If you have questions (I didn't want to give examples since that would need me to spoiler) feel free to pm me.

Good but... by milque on January 18th, 2010, 7:51pm

Shaky execution, especially in the middle. The manga started off really good and then vol 4 or so it lost its solidity. Then the last volume picks up again and the mangaka throws the whole thing in your face. And then it was 10 years later... Tsk, poorly done.
And the interaction between characters, I feel that there's more chemistry between Ryo and Aya rather than the two leads LOL. But that maybe the BL-lover in me talking.

i kinda hated it by spupapi on December 25th, 2009, 10:08am

I started reading this because it had high ranking and it was Romance... but in the series it didnt realy have the feeling of Romance nor it was funny for me, it was boring. Last few chapter i skipped to ending because it was waaaay too boring. The art was fine but i found it kind of annoying i don't know why. I like the other work by the same author but this work was failure for me - at least.

Weird ending by aquamarineprincess on December 19th, 2009, 5:53pm

I was actually confused at what happened. I did not get it all if it wasn't for reading the comments, I would not know that was the ending. This manga started out really really good and addicting. But starting the last volume, it was rushed and it feels like the author just lost interest. There was a big romantic leap in the last volume for the black hair guy, Makoto to fallls in love with the main girl. But then that did not wrap up. So it is very very disappointing. Especially when there are many scatter hints that the main girl will choose the other guy, Ryo

Rushed ending by Skaro on November 29th, 2009, 2:25pm

This manga is great in many senses, it has beautiful art and a lovely story but as many people have said before... it ends up nowhere. When an author (mangaka in this case) shows you that there are several characters who have feelings for the main character you usually expect that in the end this will be resolved by the main character choosing who s/he wants to stay with. But that doesn't happen. So you get the feeling that the manga is... incomplete... which is something rather annoying. I don't know... I prefer stories properly wrapped up at the end... but maybe that's just me.

Quite good by PhoenixRe on November 24th, 2009, 10:32pm

I really liked the art (really loved the art) and the characters as well as the story. The ending however left me just a bit unsatisfied... So instead of a 9 I give it a 8.7 (like I said; a bit)

Wings. by moca on November 14th, 2009, 8:50pm

Lovely manga.... the ending was a bit rushed but not too severely, and it was done beautifully. Although I think it could have been better if extended a little longer. The ending was a bit rushed and fastforwarded and sloppily concluded in the bonus story. Despite this, the over all story is simply gorgeous and the art--the concepts, it's a MUST read. I loved the heroine and the characters, all with their flaws. There were some lose ends like who the heroine truly ends up with, and who really loves who, but it was just great. PLEASE read--you won't regret it. ♥

tsukuba's characters are always so cheerful, and the art is always really beautiful...
highly reccommended; but it's very much possible that you won't like the plot or the style, but just try it. Maybe you'll like it!

beautiful manga by moonrabitt on September 21st, 2009, 2:51am

The manga is beautiful, funny, almost perfect, except for one thing...the ending. It was so abrupt, (weird, since everything else was stretched out and paced) that it looks like they just one day told her to the end the manga.
I mean, all characters are enjoyable, and you would think that in the end she would wrap up the story, but no...It's just a random "skip"...the ending was cute...but did not end with romance >_<..Other than that= LOVELY

Really good by thebikernun on September 8th, 2009, 8:53pm

I enjoyed this manga complete. The art was excellent. The character build up was good. I even like the ending. Even though it does not fully tie off the ends.
