From Tokyopop: Hideki's just like every other guy in the 22nd century. He just wants a good job, a good car, and a sexy robot girlfriend to call his own. Until he lands a job, he'll never be able to afford his own 'Persocom' companion. Hideki's luck changes when he discovers Chi--an adorable but seemingly stupid Persocom--tied up in a pile of trash. His first robot companion turns out to be a lot more responsibility than he expected, and she gets him into quite a few embarrassing situations. It's 'boy-meets-girl' for the cyber age.

Everytime I read it I hate it more
[edit by mod, for foul language] So after reading it again I have to change my opinion for the worse, Chobits was one of my first mangas I've read and I think I was too generous when I commented it, because this manga is crap. The art is normal CLAMP quality (which is very good) but the story and the characters are just unbelievable ridiculous, in the end it is about guys who can't get laid and so they **** their computers... really that's gross. But if you ever had the wish to marry your hard drive go give it a try.

i really liked this manga!!^^ :3
Usual nice art from CLAMP but...
surprisingly, I enjoyed the anime more than the manga. Usually, if there's both an anime and a manga version, I enjoy the manga more because the storyline typically has greater detail and depth. The manga felt flat, despite it being nice to look at and having very cute characters.
The story start out kind of boring, but later it becomes solid and interesting. The problem in this manga is that they focus in the love people feel for machines and how that is normal (what the heck?!). Also, as expected from CLAMP. whatever you think the ending is, well it's not!
Not too long to waste too much of your time, and long enough to turn out into a great manga. At first, I was skeptical about this manga for some reason and stayed away from it for a long time... Well, now that I read it, I wish I had read it much sooner. It isn't too ecchi at all, and it makes you emotional at some points. The storyline was more serious than I had expected, which was a plus. A nice manga to read.
Deeply psychological and contains more moral codes in the usual sci-fi romance. Touching and sweet, without overemphazing on mush and WAFF. Good story to read if you got a couple hours to kill.
i love this anime!its not all that perverted.ever read/watched dears?
This one had me crying on a couple of occasions so don't read in public, as I found out
A little perverted. A little bordering lolicon (which I don't like). No strong nudity. Kept all the art ethereal and classy. Some people got a warm fuzzy feeling after reading this series. I just kind of wanted something more. Now, a love hina ending, that was a good climax.
