I'm looking for manga that have time traveling and/or parallel universes(in the sci-fi sense) driving the plot.

Does anyone know of any manga like that?

Something like S.M. Stirling's "Island in the Sea of Time" would be most preferable.

Try Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
It's more fantasy than sci-fi though.

I also suggest reading through this thread or this one.

I like the anime Noein for its parallel universes too.

Thanks! Oh, and Amakusa 1637 is exactly the sort of story I was looking for.

That kind event/setting/accident/incident/etc. is called an ISoT "Island in the Sea of Time", after S.M. Stirling's Nantucket series where basically an entire "community" of sorts, be it an island, town, cruise ship, etc, gets thrown forward or back in time.

Operation liberate Men - Pretty Hilarious, imo.
Please Save My Earth - More serious. Deals with reincarnation and the like.

Both are shojo, but whatever. Only ones I could think of.

Ah, like the legend of Brigadoon. I love that story!
I wish they'd remake the movie. It's a 1954 musical with Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse.
