Hullo again. I was just reading Cheese in the Trap and i really liked it.
So I was wondering if there were any other collage-ish mangas/webcomics out there. I did try searching for one, but when everything came up yaoi I started to loose hope.

What I would like is just some manga with Collage/University Students that:
- Are smart, but that doesnt mean they dont do silly or stupid things.
- They go out at night and drink, and all that stuff.
- I like it when the side characters have an actual part to play in the story. Not just showing up to listen to the MC's problems. I like it when there is character development, and romance with them.
- Romance is a must, but that doesnt mean it has to be the main point of the story.
- Slow Romance is good too. =)

The stroy doesnt have to be similar to Cheese in the Trap. I dont really mind what happens, as long as its collageish.

No yaoi/yuri/ecchi or One Shots.

Please and Thank You!! =)

Hm, maybe Venus wa Kataomoi, Last Game (the story goes from primary school to college) or webcomic Pink Lady would fit smile

Genshiken although not being sure what you would consider wacky. it's nothing cartoony, just out of the average situations.
Moyashimon aside from the talking bacteria, it's standard college fare with an emphasis on drinking, well brewing, really.
D-ash mature series, but I would not consider it ecchi so expect adult situations.

you've been warned.

Wahhhh, we're twins!

Not really, but our minds are on the same wavelength. I just finished the latest Cheese in the Trap chapter yesterday, and it had me craving something similar to that college vibe too. So, this morning, I did a search and I came up with Shining. So far, I'm only on chapter 4, but it seems like more of a work setting than college. Idk, maybe later on that'll be more of the feel, but right now it doesn't really remind me of CITT's college vibe. Of course, the plot isn't the same and that doesn't matter, but...idk. You can judge for yourself.

Although it's not really what you're looking for and you've probably already read it, but Orange Marmalade has a cast of realistic characters and a slow romance. There's character development and her friends play an important role. But they're high schoolers, so no drinking and no financial/educational worries. As I've said, you've probably already read this already and wait weekly for the next chapter....(like me)

I think what we're (or just me) searching for is that Korean college vibe. Not only the difference in manhwa vs manga (style), but although they're somewhat similar, culture in Korea and Japan are different. Ok....nvmd. I don't really know what I'm saying anymore. But I did a search for college/university + romance + manhwa and got this. Not very big, right? Oh well, I think I'll try to read The Three Times and Welcome to Room #305!. They look promising (and they're both webcomics). Sorry I haven't read them before and can't really give you the appropriate recommendation confused

I just want to randomly add in Nineteen, Twenty-One because I think you'd like it despite the story not focusing on college (although she's testing for college...I think). They also frequent the convenience store for meals (now I'm just desperate to connect it to CITT). The art's friggin amazing btw. Idk, lately these webcomics have really captured my interest and they're so much better than the manga/manhwa I've come across.

This is the longest comment/message/forum post I have ever written in my life....Orz

Sukimasuki - fits most of what you wrote
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There is a sex scene at the end, but not much is shown. It's not really an ecchi manga.
