Why dont you try Yankee-kun to Megane-chan? Although it's shounen, it has a shoujo-esque feeling to it. But the girl's quite stupid but still totally different.

Having just watched both, I'll recommend Jormungand and Mouretsu Pirates (also known as Bodacious Space Pirates).
Jormungand is comparable to Black Lagoon, thought the main girl is very different from Revy. She is a calculating and quite ruthless planner, but usually leaves the actual violence to her squad of elite underlings. Also, actually has an end-goal to her dealings.
Mouretsu Pirates' lead girl is an interesting case. Quite talented, but still works hard. Has rather strong general tactical savvy. Refresingly free of moe-stereotypes, aside from occacional and very minor air-headness.
I believe Jormungand is originally a manga. Mouretsu pirates is originally a light novel series by the name of Miniskirt Pirates (yeah, you read that right). Both have anime versions.
