+Anima10This manga is really fluffy, and the plot is probably blurred for many. But for some odd reason I fell in love with these cute little characters, especially Cooro. There was a sad undertone throughout the series that kept me absorbed in the manga, and at the end I cried because it was just so melancholy and cute at the same time.

Strangely enough, it was also pretty realistic in terms of character interaction and their troubles. Loved it.
07-Ghost7This story is a complicated one. Much of it tugs on your heartstrings, making you want to cry. The guys are all very close with each other, and all are filled with brotherly love (no homo, although at times I wished it was a bit more gay).

Story is very long, with A LOT of characters involved. So better get the 07 Ghost Wiki open just in case you forget something. Beware spoilers, however.

I recommend this to anyone who likes emotional stories starring an (almost) all male cast. Bonus point fo...... View
A Witch's Hopeless Wish10Only on chapter 45, but wow I'm so immersed in this story. The two main characters are both mysterious, gorgeous, and adorable. Both are obviously burdened by their dark pasts, and somehow found solace in each other. There are also quite a few twists in this story--in general, I'm just loving this!

The story dips into topics on immortality, witchcraft, repentance, prejudice, and so much more.

Art: 10/10 The art is incredible and breathtaking, almost on the level of DICE
Plot: 9/10 The myste...... View

Carat!7Guys, this manga is not meant to be taken seriously. Instead, read it for the laughs and enjoy the moments as you watch in delight (or horror) as grown men dons these tiny tutu dresses and speak of gaining magical powers.

Udon power is pretty cool. Wish the author expanded on that more. wink
Cardcaptor Sakura10This was the first anime I ever watched---I watched it as a 7 years old kid.

Cardcaptor Sakura left such a large impression on me that I still remember every costume Sakura ever wore, and the cards that she collected--It's been more than 8 years since I first watched it.

And the theme songs? I still sing them in the showers at night. "I am a dreamer, hisomu power~"

Honestly though, the only unsatisfying part for me was how Sakura had an open ending with Syaoran...I knew they would end up togeth...... View

Crepuscule (Yamchi)5it's a pretty engaging story until you get to the recent chapter.... then while waiting for an update you'll probably lose interest in it like I did.

In other words, it's not very memorable.
Darren Shan---I didn't read the original book series, but spoiled myself the book ending through wikipedia. sad The ending is..... sad

The story and creatures of this world are rather interesting. I really liked Darren Shan's vampires--they are not all beautiful undead statues that sparkle in the sun.

EDIT: i love how there's only one comment/review for this series every year. LOL.

After speeding through the entire series earlier today, all I can say is that this was one heck of a roller-coaster ride. I ABSOLUTELY loved it from start to finish.

For one thing, I never bothered reading the summary or the reviews about this manga, so I had NO clue who would end up with the girl. For the longest time, I had thought that Watanuke(donno his name) was the love interest, and that Tokio was just overly affectionate guy.

But, as it turns out, I had it ...

Hakushaku to Yousei6Omg..... lemme just gush about how hot the man guy is for a while... don't mind me.... I love the cover art btw.... 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
as many have already said, this series features great romance + fantasy elements. I Love It!

Update: Wow I was dumb and bloody thirsty. If you look past the pretty art, there's really not much world building and substance. Skip this one.
Hana to Himegimi to Akuma no Vivian10Life was miserable for me that day.... and I really needed to somebody to cheer me up...but no one was there for me...

So instead, I decided to read this series. I felt a lot better when i finished. The story is short and it's really nothing spectacular considering its length...but it delivers its message to the audience effectively.

Most importantly, it cheered me up after a horrible day! smile
I must thank the author for writing such a cute story. I love friendship like this... so pure and beau...... View
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne7.7I remember watching this when I was a kid and being entranced by the story. The art is terrible now looking back but the story is cute. Would recommend this for middle schoolers!

Kuroshitsuji9AND IT'S NOT BECAUSE SEBASTIEN IS HOT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.[/b]Although he is gorgeous....

I love this story for all its darkness, struggles, and moral ambiance. Honestly, there were many times when I wondered if I would resort to doing some of the inhumane things mentioned because I actually felt like i understood the causes.

Furthermore, Ciel is the one who truly attracts me. He may be a boy, but he is a boy who went through such horror that he managed to gather the resolve to sell his soul ...... View
Kyuuketsu Yuugi8I pretty much read the whole series because of my love for Duzell the vampire king.

Everything's good and all, but I gave up reading around volume 13 because, frankly, everything is just way too confusing. Too many characters, too many strange names, civil war, and too many subplots for my mind to keep track of.... Plus, it's now obvious that the couple I ship will not be canon. I really really had high hopes for..

Magi - Labyrinth of Magic7This is a shounen manga that introduces young readers to a grey world parallel to our own. While it's true that a lot has been exaggerated and simplified, it reminds us that nothing is black-and-white. The only problem I have is that most of these rulers are pretty extreme, even if they have good intentions.

The author shows a mixture of good and bad, but never truly dives into politics. Instead, she mainly deals with theories and ideologies under the guise of politics.

Story-wise, this stuff...... View
Magi - Sinbad no Bouken9While it is not a masterpiece by itself, it is a great addition to the original Magi: Labyrinth of Magic series. The manga goes through the life of Sinbad, a character many people have been very curious about, and his household vessel users. I mean come on, he somehow conquered all those dungeons and became the king of the seven seas!!! Who wouldn't be interested?

Anyways, this manga is very interesting to me, as I am a hardcore Sinbad fangirl, and I hope the author continues this as a side st...... View

Maou-jou de Oyasumi---It works as a weekly short read to see the princess' shenanigans, but becomes repetitive if marathoned through in 1 sitting... I got bored after reading 20 chapters in one go.
Masca7Let's just say I find the love between the demon lord and our main character to be intoxicating, somewhat unhealthy, and strangely fitting given their respective situations. This is a compliment. 🙂

The demon lord, first off, is an seemingly all-powerful being with the curse of immortality. (He spends his time killing himself due to how boring/depressing life gets) Because of his immortal body, no one cares about the pain he feels and all the complicated things he goes through. Nobody se...... View
Merupuri6This series had a cute premise, and the ending was an adorable one. But, it was fairly typical, and the art was the only thing that appealed to me. Even then, many of the characters looked the same.

I just wish that the cute phase where the boy was slowly falling in love would be a little longer. Oh well.
Nanatsu no Taizai3---
Noblesse6.9..The webtoon started out so well and had so much potential...... Even now, it's still pretty damn awesome...

but, IT IS SO REPETETIVE! The fighting element is the same thing over and over again!

weak beat strong, then loses, gets power up, beat opponent, a new opponent appears.
Pandora Hearts10Pandora Hearts is one of those darkly mysterious, exotic, but beautiful kind of manga that leaves the readers obsessed, like me.

There is also a bit of "horror" elements here and there that truly scared the heck out of me, and that was good too. :-)

In terms of art, it has a pretty typical "shoujo-esque" art style, and each volume cover is beautifully rendered in watercolor. While some may disagree, I thought the art carried the characters' emotions pretty well, and nothing was stiff or out of ...... View

Ran to Haiiro no Sekai7"Don't treat me like a kid!" I remember saying that a lot as a kid. Our main character Ran was just like me. This is a story about a bright, adorable 10-years old sorceress-in-training and her lovely magical family. The young child sees the world around her and wants to grow up quickly--and she finds a way to transform her body into that of a grown-up's! She goes on many little adventures and meets new people along the way in her irresistibly charming adult form--and learns along the way that...... View
Shugo Chara!9.8I read this back when i was in middle school.... and i had the biggest crush on Ikuto..... lol
Seriously, I would squeal every time he made his entrance or had one of those moments with amu. ha ha ha. <3

Even now I still occasionally think of this manga. It's just so adorable.
Sugar Sugar Rune7This was the manga that got me obsessed with the idea of decorating a wand with runes to increase magical capacities. Seriously. I started dreaming about it nearly every other night after finishing this series.

ha ha.

This manga was cute, with adorable side romances that ended with, obviously, memory loss and erasing the feelings. But gosh darn it they were cuter than the main couple's. That aside, there were some cliches, but this manga is such an inspiration to me that I feel the inclinatio...... View
The Bride of the Water God6The art makes me so jealous of the mangaka's skills... Everything is so elegant!!! omg! Main characters are also enjoyable!

but.... after the first 10 or 20 chapters, the plot just becomes a bowl of mush...... so many side characters appear with hidden intentions that I just ccan't swallow it all down.... Plus, many of them have the same face! WHAT THE HECK?

Overall though, I would recommend people to try the manga out, at least until chapter 25 or so.... and then give up if the story becomes ...... View

Tokyo Mew Mew3Wow I really liked this series when i was 13. Watched the anime and then read the entire manga too.

Looking back as a 22 year old, the series was .... terribly cliched and obnoxious.
Wuming Qishi8Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious.
xxxHoLic10This work has so many references and connections to CLAMP's other works such as Card Captor Sakura, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles, and etc. (and i love them!!) The characters were portrayed beautifully, and by the end I had fallen for Doumeki 10 times over...

One suggestion though: DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU'VE ALREADY READ TSUBASA RESEVOIR CHRONICLES!!!! These two have an intertwined plot, so you must read the former to understand the latter!!

And the ending made me cry until my tears just drie...... View
