Wholesome and heartbreaking at the same time.

Okay so I'm normally a bit icky towards student x teacher relationships solely because they're mostly illegal, and the age gap is uncomfortable. I don't think that I knew Natori's age because I don't think it was specified! So I'm a bit icky since I don't know if he's in his late twenties or early thirties. But Natori's age aside, I have to say this story was so fleshed out I almost cried at the end. All of the characters present; especially Kaname, has flaws and I think that's why his character was so good. He was earnest and kind, yet he had an aloof personality that doesn't really know what he wants. I think that scene where he gives up on Natori and with that creepy old dude approaching him which prompted Natori's friend to save him is the breaking point, his character was so lovely and heartbreaking, it makes me so attached to him.

The way he handled his attraction towards Natori and the way he matured and grew as the story progressed (I really liked that he amended his ways by apologizing to the girl!) was so good, his characterizations was really good. Natori as well, seeing him growing attached towards Kaname and his denial towards his feelings and his wants to cherish Kaname was so precious. That confession scene in the car might as well been one of the best confession I've ever read. All of the pining and the feelings just came crashing down towards you, and you feel like you can't breathe just like what Kaname was experiencing. I'm really glad that they decided to wait it out until Kaname had graduated, and having the sex scene at the end where they embrace each other for the first time was the cherry on the cake.

Overall, this was a very wholesome and fleshed out depiction of good student x teacher relationships with great characterizations and amazing art. Definitely 10/10.

A very special work

It's so rare to come across a BL manga that's so sincere and realistic yet still playful and self-aware such as this. I really like the tongue-in-cheek tone of the story along with a hint of melancholic undertone flying underneath; that part was really well done. It's almost like a parallel to Kaname's own personality who as a central character cannot be more compelling, and the supporting cast all managed to contribute to the story in one way or another so there's nothing that feels out of place or redundant. I guess the conclusion did come a little quick in relation to the manga's general pacing, but overall it was still a great read. For Kaname alone imma still give this a 10 even if it's not a completely perfect work, because he's just that precious and loveable.

a rare teacher x student manga that I enjoyed

normally I stay away from this genre entirely. I'm a teacher, and the idea of dating a student is just...*shivers*

this manga has such an honesty, however, that is separate from its idealism, that you can't help but enjoy the story. It's almost entirely told from Kaname's POV, and we don't get to see real change from Natori until almost the end, which is almost acceptable from me, lol. This story is more of a coming-of-age story for Kaname than a romance, the romance is just an end bonus. I do wish I got some insight from how Natori's feelings developed, from a storytelling standpoint, but at the same time I don't want to know how he got there LOL *shudders*

Natori's friend was one of the best characters in this, hands down. I love how he played gay but was actually straight xD

So pure for this dirty heart of mine

I totally love it. This story makes my heart doki doki, its so beautiful. The development was slowly but really according.
I love kaname, he wasn't the typical uke, he understand the situation and knows when to back off. he totally rules, he's so cute and makes you want to protect him so badly, he owns my heart.
Natori sensei, was such a good adult, he's also really cute when he blush. Oh, let's not forget kanames' friends cause they were so important I like how they care for his friend.
I really didn't care about the zero hot scenes, I was so into the story about them that Im happy with just that extra. This doesn't need hard yaoi to be so good.

Straight Male Ally
by FeyFujoshi

From characterization to the dialogues and the pacing of the story itself, I absolutely love this. There’s so much happiness and sadness in this that I cannot but help be overjoyed. The promise of happiness is fulfilled. Honestly, reading this, initially I was supremely worried about how things will unfold given the perverse way in which student-teacher relationships work out, but all of my worries were needlessly founded. The characters were mature, especially for the typical yaoi characters, and the manner in which they approached their relationship and feelings for each other, the solidarity that was forged, which eventually turned into love, was breathtaking. Most powerfully for me was the presence of the straight male ally because these occurrences, and especially the circumstance in which this occurred, were so rare and precious. The working of building bridges is essential. Lastly, the atogaki gave me hope to hope, Fumikawa: “there won’t be any sex scenes, will that be alright?” Editor: “perfectly fine”

I think this was one of the most heart-warming teacher-student shounen ai i have read in a long time. The mutual pining in this was just so heart-wrenching ;; It's the same old trope of "i can't date a student" but not depicted with excessive drama, that's why i loved this so much. Kaname was an amazing protagonist, he was outgoing but also shy when it came to Natori, and also laid back and selfless. The art is also superb, the reason i started reading this tbh, because it's simple but extremely cute. The plot was very well paced too and i just loved the slow burn so much. Anyway, totally recommended!

The story started so interestingly it drew my attention and I began to read it seriously right after I found out there wasn’t a love triangle (I had been afraid that there was). Just as I had expected, it got more and more heart-warming - I could see the development of a sincere, strong relationship between an adorable student and a reliable teacher. The author did a wonderful job in creating necessary challenges without making the manga overly dramatic (things happened in a logical way). I also enjoyed the happy school life of these students featuring cute supporting characters.
I wish I could see more lovey-dovey moments at the end though. 😉
