It's an average yaoi. Not spectacular, but not bad. Had I read it when it was released I would have liked it better because I gotta give it props for an older manga: no rape, no abuse, and no one "turned gay".
I read it because of the good ratings and interesting tags, but I was disappointed. There lacked an event or signifying turn where the seme proves his love. The story could use more development on characterization as well.
I expected some really nice art when I saw the cover but the art is actually not that great. Its bearable however. The one woman shown in the manga wasn't drawn that well as she seemed rather out of proportion and even looked like a man in a page. It was short but I liked the empty heart thing. That kinda made me feel for the MC. But aside from that it was just average.
as the title of this review suggests, this is better than most yaoi mangas out in the market. while it may not be the most profound or ground-breaking in terms of storyline.. it exceeds expectations with execution. the only drawback is the art. i'm not saying that the art is terrible.. its not. the characters are actually illustrated well. i just wished the backgrounds received a little more attention. but.. thats just me nit-picking. i definitely recommend this manga to anyone.
Idk but I would like it a lot more if the seme actually explains why he likes the uke since the uke still clearly thinks that its the face that the seme likes. And I also have the very same feelings.
The substitution idea left me a bad taste. He said the uke is not a substitute but he clearly was (the name calling).

I can straight tell I like her style of art. She has beautiful characters. In this story... I like this kind of plots..so it really satisfied me ^.^
But again...I think if it was make in two, three or more volumes it could be even better. (but concerning this manga it's not such problem as with her other mangas which are often going too quick)

While I give credit to Minase Masara sensei for stories and storytelling, I often don't like her art... but I gotta say it was decent in this and not as distracting as other times.
I really liked the story here, and even though the whole in-love-with-big-borthers-friend thing is often used in yaoi, it was still a very entertaining read and I didn't get bored at all.

Oh my that was hyper mega hotttttttt! i mean that plot is used many times to justify sexual desires but it was really well-made! OH Minase Masara sensei your hands are magical: i love your art so much! there were moments the seme was less mature than Takumi, i mean Usa-nii was totally blaming him for having sex with him! But i suppose that was a plus so we can empathize with Takumi!! I guess the appearance and set up of the former lover was rushed and obvious that's why i couldnt give this work more rating.
Honestly, I don't care if it's a cliche. As long as it's well done and keeps me interested, I could reread the same plot multiple times. I really like the art and it's pretty easy to get attached to the characters.
So yeah, I would definitely suggest this. And it's not too long!

good characters and nice art. This manga is not extremely original but it still stands out among the others thanks to the depth of its main character, Takumi. I think he is one of the best characters I've ever found in a yaoi manga. Even if the plot of this manga is nice per se, I think Takumi is its strong point. While reading I could really feel Takumi's feelings and empathise with him. His strong love and his despair, his sadness and his confusion were all well portrayed. The other characters are also okay. Considered this is a one volume manga, it came out pretty good. Not a masterpiece, but still worth reading if you like angst and yaoi.
