confusing panels

is it just me or the panels are all over the place and its hard to follow. also, the art is quite atrocious with too much close ups its hard to determine space and time in the manga. also the characters are atrociously drawn with stick thin legs, and sometimes too tall and sometimes too short, there are no set height for the characters. it also don't help the stories are too mundane i cannot excuse the art. i can always read stick figures if the story is compelling, but not this boring, so i only finish the first and second story. i like the girl in the first story though, a go-getter in shoujo is always welcome rather than big boobed bimbo.

"If you don't like me, then at least bite off my tongue and let me die happy!"

The above is a prime example of the cringe-worthy prose this manga has to offer. The problem with all of the stories is that nothing really interesting or unique happens - the male and female lead fall in love, go through some doubts about each other's feelings, and then it ends. Plenty of shoujo oneshots pull off generic plots via comedy, but unfortunately the oneshots in this volume have only heaps of drama conveyed through the characters responding to some situation or another in ridiculous, unbelievable ways. The mangaka tinkers slightly with the characters' personalities - aggressive girl, sweet girl, violent guy, naïve guy, etc. - but ultimately every single girl becomes timid and weepy and every single guy becomes confident and bold and up for some frenching. Regardless of whatever personality each character seems to have at the beginning of the story, they eventually dissolve into this generic view of man and woman and the story is resolved with them in these roles.

Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this manga. Sakurada Hina has produced far better material, namely her dark stories, which make good use of the drama that's so misplaced here.

4th story

I really liked the 4th story. It was refreshing to see a male lead character, though I didn't get what the problem was with his name... (Oh well, I shall now go cry because of my terrible kanji skills)
All the usual cliches in the other stories... they didn't grab my attention at all, if fact I might have already forgotten what were the characters like... Oh! but the first story had an interesting carnivorous girl.

Really Liked It

I really enjoyed reading it because the female characters were different from I'm used to reading in shoujo. They were NOT stupid and actually had a clue and know how to stand their ground. For me, those damsel in distress, idiotic, totally clueless girls are soo irritating.

Let's be honest.

A lot of people may not like the main character of the first story but personally I did like her.

Why? you ask. Pretty easy, no many girls have the guts to nearly rape the guy they like.
You know the boys are the ones who always "rapes" the protagonist, and I say "rape" because she ends loving it.

Nearly all the shoujo manga has the stereotipe of stupid, dumb, innocent, dorky, shy girls that cannot do anything right (maybe they have an special power like cooking, sewing, being a basquetball genious, etc) and the guys are the ones with the pants in the relationship.

So I'm glad to had find Sakurada Hina sensei works because they show the other face of shoujo, where love isn't all is pink colored and even the main character can be a little twisted.

Good Art, So-So Stories

The art is unique and worth a look... but so far, the stories are only so-so. The characters aren't very unique, the stories are the usual cliches (or original, but uninterestingly so). Everything is very forgettable. This isn't as good as "Is It Okay If I Love You?" by the same mangaka. I would recommend that one, instead.

I can say that, sensei's draw is always beautiful but I really don't like the 1st story of this series. Minoko (female char) acts too lewd and bold. She's not someone we'd like to see in shoujo manga, as the lead char. I swear. The way she seduces Akane-kun and all... Annoying =3=. I was expected this manga to be better but, kinda dissapointed now. Anyway, maybe the fellow stories will get better~
