Like a pwp DouWata dj changed into a generic manga to make deadlines or something.

Basically the manga-ka made expies of Watanuki and Doumeki from xxxHOLiC, drained the fun out of their relationship and the spice out of their personalities, stuck them in a bland school setting with a bland school love story, and called it a day.

The first story was so typical and shallow that I can barely remember what happened (and I just finished the manga). The art is very pretty, but the characters are so stereoptypical and boring that I couldn't even enjoy the fluff.

The second story was a little better due to the concept of unrequited love the two characters felt towards each other, but it was still extremely cliche. One thing I liked was that each character had a chapter in his point of view. It was interesting to see the story in first Natsume's mind, and then in Shino's. The oneshot was also boring and as forgettable as the first story. Near and Far is just something to pass the time with and look at nice art. *yawns*

It seems that many of today's new mangaka are drawing nothing but these cliche, pointless fluff stories with pretty art. Where's the depth, the emotion, or the originality? >.>

For me, Narazaki Nenene excels at drawing cookie cutter yaoi with surprising amounts of sweet, diabetic fluff.

This, probably is one of her magnum opus.

Unfortunately, this also means it's so generic, it hurts. Add that there's little to no depth except fluff, and...it became empty.
