I don't know why...this manga was okay, however I wasn't satisfied.
Perhaps because I was looking for more deep romantic scenes and not just those shallow pathetic medusa vengeance scenes. Anyway, overall it's so-so. Read if you have nothing to read.

I'm not really that big of a fan manhwas really, but the first few chapters were nice...
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
My main problem with this story was in the later part of this series...It just gave off this... bitter aftertaste, I should say. And it didn't feel like things were really revolved at the end. But I guess things could've been worse *sighs*

Overall, it's not a bad series... It just could've been better thought out is all. So 8/10

Great story idea, but after a while it repeats the same phase as all the other manga by this author. The story lines are awesome but then the way things are portrayed and repeated kinda kills it. but i do like it. (kinda skipped to the end after a while)

I agree with the other reviewer. This wasn't the best. In the beginning it was good but then it started to get ridiculous. I didn't like how main lead keeps crying and wanting to die...it became annoying. The story didn't go anywhere. It keeps shifting back and fourth so I decided to drop this manhwa.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It started to get pretty ridiculous when she transforms to meduse(her mother) seeking for revenage against the vampires. How the two vampire heirs fell in loved with her and doesn't want to kill of medusa even though she will kill all the vampire leaders affecting their family and relative. It keeps going back and fourth.

Not the best...

First, I'll start by saying that, by far, I think this is Han Yu-Rang's best work. The characters can be irrational, even by the standards of manhwa, but it doesn't detract too much from a legitimately entertaining story. Nothing too new, but also fairly well executed, especially with the whole gender-bender thing; always a risk, but sometimes high payoff, like in this work. Overall, solid manhwa.

Shonen-ai

I think this is more Shonen-ai, since even up to ch10 Da Young remains male, then afterwards he continues to dress as a male, so it's hardly shoujo, despite the gender-bender classification. I just don't recognise him as being female, since he just keeps up the male front. It's really up to the reader to suspend belief and force yourself to have a collective ignorance of this obvious fact, despite individually recognising this absurdity.

Interesting, but..

I just can't understand Da In's personality. Kang-hoo's easy to understand, Medusa's even less difficult, and I'm very interested in the side characters, but
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I can not believe Da In. She tried to kill herself 6 times in about 5 chapters! And 3 of those attempted deaths were the same, running into a river, ocean, etc. and yelling "Don't follow me! It would be better if I were dead!!" Of course, it would but... also, why do people keep saving her? I wouldn't after the 3rd try. The actual story is quite interesting, though.

Strangely fascinating

This is one fascinating story. It is not the best story I ever read and it is surely not the most convincing story either, but it sure is fascinating.

This is one of those stories that could have been better. I have read better romance stories and better gender benders. However; this stories combines romanes, gender bender, vampires and school life in a quite unique and attractive way.

At first, the story was a bit thin and the conversations between the characters were... predictable. But the storyline keeps getting better and as of volume 7, you get some serious background story. This story is acceptable and quite convincing. It was some gaps here and there, but satisfying it is.

My rating for now will be 8.5/10.
Depending on the development of the storyline and the characters, this rating will, of course, change.

I don't quite know where to start, I think that it's a wonderful series. I think that the development of the series was well thought out and have just enough of everything in it. Yoo Da-in is the funniest character in there in my opinion, I got a kick out of him/her in the first two volumes. If I could buy them I would. A definate 10/10 rating for me smile

It's been 6 vols, and there is still no meaningful development. The main character is a strong and weak, human and a high vampire, boy and a girl, stupid and smart and so on. I would have given this a chance, if there was something like a character development. But the only development there is, is that guys fall head over heals for the main char(becoming either stupid or worse).
Sometimes HAN Yu-Rang gets it right, this is not it.
