I love the pairing, and not the mention the story itself is captivating. I understand that the story itself is an adaptation of a song or something, but as i don't follow the original work, this adaptation is very much enjoyable for me. It reminds me to Jaime and Cersei of Lannister house.. Lol
Fairly decent, as long as...

So, I suppose one of the things to keep in mind while reading this manga is to accept it as a story in and of itself, albeit based on mothy's original concept.
For those who are familiar with mothy's Evillious Chronicles, this story is completely different. You can probably tell that from the first few pages, where the twins are simply called "Rin" and "Len", not Riliane and Allen, and the country is simply called the "Yellow Kingdom", rather than Lucifenia. The entire story is completely different, such as the fact that the twins were separated because of a prophecy, not because of an internal power struggle.
So, as long as you accept this story as an "original" fanwork rather than as a true adaptation, it actually becomes a fairly enjoyable ride. The ideas are rather interesting and unique, and the mangaka has managed to create individual personalities for Rin and Len that make both of them likable. The only criticism that I have now is the King's justification for keeping Len alive is flimsy and forced, requiring a certain amount of suspension of disbelief.
Overall, while the manga is taking its own course, independent of mothy's original story, it is still an enjoyable enough read, as long as you don't keep trying to compare the two. I'm looking forward to seeing how the mangaka plans to bring this manga to its final conclusion (but, most importantly, I want to see how the relationship between Michaela, Clarith, and Kyle is dealt with).

it was a bit shocking seeing this....but a manga based on servant of evil? I suppose its not impossible.
nevertheless, it is an excellent interpretation of the story. one that I highly recommend to any fans of the songs.

Having read the first five chapters, I thought I'd update by saying, "So far, so good." As I suspected from the first chapter, this manga adaptation of "Daughter/Servant of Evil" is deviating a bit from the original songs, but not in any bad way. Some of the details that were changed or added, such as Gakupo's prophecy about the destruction of the kingdom and Len's subsequent confinement in the tower, add a fresh new perspective to the fairly unknown background of the story, so it's always interesting to see how the author of this work goes about bringing her own personal touch to it. I can see a lot of fans putting up a stink because of the differences between this manga and the novel adaptation, but if you can accept that this is just another take on the same story, I think you'll find it at least somewhat enjoyable. (And, to be totally and brutally honest, from what I've read from translations of the "Closure of Yellow" novel, it isn't exactly well-written or particularly gripping.)
As far as the art is involved, it's a lot of dark, sketchy lines and loads of detail. The style itself is very unique and rather Gothic, though it looks more josei to me than shounen. The artist seems to struggle a bit with drawing arms and hands, especially those of small children, but overall, the art is pretty and eye-catching, if not a little crowded.
Since there's still only one volume out, there isn't too much more to comment on except to say that the story's progressing at a nice, even pace and continues to be engaging. There aren't any exclusive references to the original source material, so the manga itself can easily be picked up by anyone unfamiliar with it (though I do recommend listening to the songs at some point, as they are lovely pieces of music in and of themselves!). I'm looking forward to seeing more of this manga!
