Boring

A bad detectives manwha, with, for the most part, pretty boring characters with little to none development, a pretty bad and overused plot and to top it all a rushed and pretty lame ending. I won't say disappointing because I had no expectations and it's too short, still, bad.

I strongly disagree with other critics stating this webcomic is disappointing. The pace is quite slow. Sometimes the author leads you astray and fools you. But I wish that there be a continuation of this piece.
And another advice for those does not liking the categories and genres of Remnant. Check another manga and don't bother degrading pieces which are not meant for your "taste".

All downhill

This started off pretty well but quickly deteriorated. The story became very convoluted and it's unfortunate that I read all the way to the end (it didn't get any better). Yeah, this is going to be on my "Why exactly did I read this?" list in a few years. Giving it an undeserving 6/10 (really wanted to give it a 5/10) only because at one point in time it didn't look so bad. I recommend avoiding this piece of work.

disappointingly disturbing (beware: ranting below)

it had me in it up to the point where it shows the rape and murder of the good cop's family at the hands of some bad cops. not only is it disturbing but it's utterly ridiculous. i'm really disappointed cause i had it around an 8 up to that point. i had similar problems with wolf guy except it's not as gratuitous here. wow this just pisses me off. i might check back once more after another 15 or 20 chapters have been released, just to see how the increasingly ridiculous conflicts get resolved and if at that time it falls anything short of astounding i'm officially labeling it a FAILURE.

dirty cops takin bribes... ok - half of all the major detectives as well as many high ranking officials involved in the illegal activities... ok since it's a manga and i'm willing to look past the unlikelihood of the it actually happening in reality - everything the author piled on after that though, is just too much for me to handle. especially when it comes to the aforementioned rape which i for one just can't stand seeing in a manga, or anywhere else of courrse (i'm a male, fyi). while rape definitely brings a dose of reality it almost never gets used for anything other than shocking readers to gain attention and it just happens to be a dose of reality that i'd much rather be left out 99.9% of the time seeing as there is almost never a need (imo) to use it to develop the plot (especially in a manga/manhwa/webtoon like remnant that had no indications of just how depraved it was going to turn) unlike classic josei tragedy stories which seem to like to talk about all the disturbing worst-case scenarios that can befall women. i, for one, like to read manga specifically because i can escape to a world of ignorance and denial, where i don't ever have to come across things like rape or torture, which unfortunately do take place every day in the "real world". don't get me wrong, it's not like i'm a hippy, pacifist who can't stand conflict; there are just certain aspects of it (rape and torture specifically) that i'd really rather not have to think about while i'm immersed in a story of fantasy. i'm not even saying things like rape and torture should absolutely, 110% not ever be used; i'm just saying that if you choose to do so, do it responsibly and not only because you wanna throw something shocking into your story, but because your story truly cannot be sufficiently portrayed without it.

yuck... this leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and a pit in my stomach. i envy those of you who can enjoy a story without getting emotionally attached to it because when it goes wrong like this one did for me, its just that much more disappointing and results in that much more anguish.

the worst 3 mangas/etc. that i have read up to this point:

1. legend of maian (omfg i wish i had stopped reading before it reached the time skip around ch.58)
2. wolf guy (i don't even understand how that even got published considering how horrible everything gets)
3. remnant

When it went supernatural i lost my interest.Maybe it will become good later, but i won't wait to find out.Supernatural Investigation Department seems far more interesting and at least gives a good reason why some people have some spiritual abilities. In this one one of the protagonists has a supernatural ability because of a disease or sth.

Slow pacing

I haven’t made up my mind whether I’ll keep up w/ this series yet because it’s still too early. At the moment, the pacing is a bit slow and choppy. The artwork and coloring is good for the most part, but there is no action yet.

Officer Park Yoon Hee has just graduated and dreams of working in the Violent Crime Division. However, her father, the Chief of Police, arranges her to be in the Unsolved Crime Division. Because the only other member there, her boss has never solved any of the crimes, that division is now being threatened for closure and its members moved to Traffic Crimes. So both Yoon Hee and her boss now work on solving a case before the division gets closed.

For some reason, I thought this series would have supernatural elements, but it’s just the typical mystery crime drama. Nothing too exciting since they’re working on a 15 year old case at the moment. I’ll wait and see in maybe a year or so.
