The art gets a little better later on but you wouldn't mind it the more you read. The story is great. Period!!

Wholesome fluffy romance that isn't dumb. A bit simplistic, but not dumb at all. Almost all the characters are fleshed out. Probably the best series in the genre character wise, and hands down the best character communication wise.

Great art. The art is different from the mainstream of manwha, but it is evocative and effective. Reminds me a bit of Fruit Basket, but colorful of course.

The series is a bit idiosyncratic with the very modern views expressed in what looks like Middle Ages Europe, but if you can accept magic existing... Talking about the magic, it is basically irrelevant, except to make the female MC and the male lead superhuman, not sure what for. It has almost no effect on the story, a mostly slice of life romance.

Translation is a bit lacking. Not bad, but not great.

Really good storytelling

The art style isn’t super pretty, but after I got to know and like the characters you know what I liked how they looked too and didn’t mind at all.

The characters are all reasonable and act their age - I can’t remember their exact ages but the male and female lead are in their late twenties / early thirties and actually act like it. The other characters are younger but also act their age as well. This made for a pleasant and never frustrating read.

The story really shines because not only is there the main couple, but there are quite a few side couples and in particular the story also focuses on the female lead’s sister and her partner. Eventually we learn more about the romantic relationships of other side characters as well, and they’re all nuanced with each couple going through their own struggles and phases. By including the storylines of all these side characters, we can really see the main characters’ worlds fleshed out and it keeps the story interesting. There’s also a heavy emphasis on familial relationships and just like the romantic ones, they’re nuanced and endearing.

The interaction between the two main characters and how they grow to love one another is precious. It’s not a word I use often to describe a relationship, but it’s one of those things where we see it start out delicate and fragile and barely there, and then it slowly blossoms before our eyes - a love still new and awkward, but all the more precious. And this theme is repeated throughout the story.

The female lead is strong, independent, and there’s no question that she’s her own person. The male lead is strong, supportive, and respects and admires her for herself. Not even accounting for any interactions, the personalities of the two main characters complement one another so well. This makes for a great illustration of two people who can understand each other and trust each other. All of the characters have their faults and also their strengths, and all have different personalities.

There are funny moments and sweet moments and even some steamy ones. Certainly lots of touching moments.

The only two reasons I’m not rating this a ten - one is because it really is a bit of a shame that the art doesn’t make these characters drop-dead gorgeous (imagine the steamy scenes then!). The second is just that the story focuses so much on relationships that as far as what’s happening in the world and plot goes, not much is covered. (Given the setting, so much more could be explored - this would be at the expense of focus on the relationship growth, though, so I guess it’s more that I feel this manga is heavy on the relationships light on the plot instead of balanced.)

That the author is also the artist is really impressive, and how the scanlation group is just one person but the scans are the quality of a whole group just adds to my appreciation of this work.

Would definitely recommend to any looking for a well written slow romance.

This story is very unique. I really enjoy the story's content. It's historic based but a lot of the social construct ideas have a modern twist. The characters are mature and make more or less make realistic decisions. Many stories are good but conflicts arise for obnoxious reason

There are some jealous characters trying to pull stunts, but they're not common and don't show up much. Leah and her sister Noah are both strong in many ways, Brill is delightful, and I adore Olivia's appearances. There are moments dark and light, hidden pasts, lost family needing to be found. FL and ML both have their strengths and weaknesses, communication problems, etc., but they also admit this to themselves and actively work to improve themselves and their relationship. I, too, was a little off-put by the art at first, but it does grow on you and develop its own charm, as do the characters themselves. I also love the T/L notes sprinkled here and there

Simply Amazing

If there was a manhwa that was the embodiment of "Don't judge a book by its cover" this manhwa is it. At first glance, it looks like a typical boring political marriage romance manhwa with an annoying MC. You truly can't tell that this manhwa is a hidden judging its name, summary and art. They do the plot no justice at all. I was hesitant to read it because of those things.

Art: if you are picky about art, put the pickiness aside and give it a try. Seriously, at first the art will make you a little unsettled because of the characters proportions but honestly, overtime, it grows on you. Not to mention, the artist actually creates great backgrounds unlike other artists who have great character art but shit backgrounds or none at all. The author of BTL's art actually improves a lot in the 2nd season too! This has been dropped by readers and readers won't read it because of the art. Seriously. Don't do it. It's amazing. The plot completely makes up for it. A lot of manhwa these days have beautiful art but shit story.

Main characters: I can't count the number of stupid MCs I've seen. They claim its a "strong FL" but what makes her strong? She might be strong at first but she gets completely blinded by love later and suddenly she's a ditzy idiot who can't do anything without the man. In Bring the Love, our MC, Leah, is a retired war hero. She stopped being a knight in order to stay home with her family and take care of the family since her parents passed. She's mature, beautiful, and she's caring. But that doesn't make her dumb in anyway. She's very smart, calculating and quite literally, VERY STRONG. She has her dumb, charming moments but its not overwhelming overtime unlike most FLs. She remains a strong FL even after falling in love with the ML and doesn't falter for a moment to care for him, and understand his needs and charms. She doesn't care about appearance, she doesn't care who her sibling falls in love with (boy or girl), she doesn't run away from situations because its challenging and she doesn't act arrogant. Her personality is just right. I'm so in awe with Leah. A true definition of a strong FL IMO. Our ML, he looks cold, and brute as a lot of MLs do, but he's secretly very caring in his own way. He has a large scar and suffered a lot of trauma. He doesn't underestimate the FL because of her gender or appearance. He understands her and takes the time to listen to her needs and he's SO SO selfless. His self-esteem is so low because of his trauma that he feels like he isn't worthy of the FL. He puts everyone's needs before himself. I have to point out the incredible, but not overpowering amount of feminism in this story. Everyone talks and understands each other. Our main couple are both in their 30s but they are so shy with each other that it makes the bonding between them so realistic and cute.

Other things: there's no stupid evil character. No evil jealous girls, no evil siblings, no one trying to stupidly poison or frame another person. No. Dumb. Characters. Everyone has their own charm. Even the slightly more meaner characters. Everyone is special in their own way and that's amazing. We also have bi characters, a BL ship on the side and a FL who absolutely supports it. Everyone's character development is wonderful. This story also talks about sex, the fact that men can also get assaulted and raped, the hardships of succession etc etc.

In summary: I can not ask for a better manhwa than this. Its such a feel good manhwa that there is so dull moment in every chapter. I love this so much. Truly deserves the ratings it gets on Mangadex. But, its very underrated and doesn't get the amount of attention it should. It doesnt appeal to younger audiences because they are literally just looking for a story with a dumb MC and handsome ML falling in love. This story appeals to mature audiences who look deeper into the plot.

Quick extra: the scanlator for this manhwa is adorable. They are a one-man team and works hard on this manhwa for us. Quick updates, good quality chapters and a good story. What more can you ask for? Don't give it a lower rating because of the art, okay? Rate honestly for the plot. I cant recommend this story enough. 10000000/10.

This story has one of the most wholesome and realistic feeling main relationships EVER. Like, the two main characters actually support, like, and trust each other!?!? What a concept. Honestly I can't remember the last time I read any sort of manga with that relationship dynamic. Even ones that get close (The Duchess' 50 Tea Recipes, Lucia (Taruvi)) generally still have a toxic element like unhealthy/excessive Jealousy, a relationship that was originally founded on rape, or an inherently imbalanced power dynamic. Bring the love is unique in that while the main characters may not understand eachother perfectly, there isn't any of that nastiness and the fact that they care for eachother makes them actually *gasp* communicate and work through their problems like adults...

This Relieves All My Stress

Look: If you want something to take you away from the endless, mindless shoujo where characters don't communicate, don't apologize, don't learn from their mistakes, and don't have a plot, then this story is for you. It is amazing. People learn from each other, every single character has agency and wills of their own, and you can understand where literally everyone is coming from. Even the ones you don't like, you know what their deal is.

Also, the author is a huge feminist without being in your face (but still doesn't hold back on it) and there's a goddamn bisexual love triangle on the side that's actually well-done. There's talk about trauma and healing and apologies for slights and hurt and women refusing to be treated as prizes to be won and men who respect that. What more do you want😕 It's hilarious, it's good drama, and goddamn do I love all our leads. Leah's a strong lead (and not the typical strong female lead that goes "uwu I had 5 brothers and so I am strong and had to grow up fighting" but the "I had to shoulder the burden of my family's political situation and had to give up my occupation as a knight to care for the thing I was fighting to protect, but I know my values in life and still desire to attain freedom and equal rights in society while having to marry" and look that's a long thought but shush.) Roxant and her communicate to hell and back and share their burdens. The ensemble cast is fleshed out and focused on too.

Just, go read it, will you?
