Characters of all sorts + comedic situations + interesting plot + great action = AWESOME!
Many characters are admittedly stock characters, but they're made to stand out anyway. What seem like minor characters eventually play large roles. The action scenes are well done: long enough to be detailed but not overly drawn out.

This series is excellent ts art work is brilliant and very impressive to see the story in it are highly fun and entertaining to read as well as all this the updates are pretty regular and well done. This series is hard to stop reading when you start but well worth trying I don't see any downsides at all.
One word covers Akamatsu Ken's work which doesn't apply to too many other mangakas: 'quality'. His artwork, creativity and storytelling is second to none, and Negima continues the standard of his previous classic 'Love Hina'. With all the spin-offs, merchandizing and second-rate by-products generated by this title, it's sometimes easy to forget just how good the original manga is. I recommend you forget about all the other stuff and just read this, it's great entertainment for pretty much anyone.
Simply amazing. The only manga that I go back to re-read my favourite parts, some of the best characters I've seen, deep and dramatic without going too far. Cute artwork and some great storylines, without getting stuck in a repetative 'new bad guy, defeat and save the day --> new bad guy, defeat and save the day' trend. Particularly the last storyline, without ruining anything.
When I started reading it and saw the class register I just thought =O but now I know every one of their names and personalities as if i really knew them.
It also helps being an ecchi fan ;P
looking back at previous ken akamatsu works, i'm feeling that this series got a lot improvement; better drawings, wide character, and decent story. but, i kind of upset since the ecchi (or fanservice, everyone says) still to much, or at least, has no relationship with the story itself. if i may criticize this works, i believe akamatsu need some research to have his story logical.
So many characters that many are still a wonder like "Zazie Rainyday" . I think it's one of this manga special points.
