This series is excellent ts art work is brilliant and very impressive to see the story in it are highly fun and entertaining to read as well as all this the updates are pretty regular and well done. This series is hard to stop reading when you start but well worth trying I don't see any downsides at all.
excellent ecchi series by Love Hina creator, more action-oriented at times but has all the right ingredients and an impressive cast of cute girls
Don't believe in those negative comments below, the fun of this manga is not over, it's just the begining! Mwahaha!
This started out BRILLIANTLY and continued wonderfully up until the Negi vs Rakan fight (chapter 233). Then it slowly declines in story telling quality and suspense until this becomes my MOST HATED manga ever. If you are planning on reading it, stop after chapter 233, and the only important information that you would need to know after that is
You never find out who gets with Negi. They all return to Mahora and graduate happily. Negi sneezes their clothes off about 100000x every chapter and Chao Lin makes a cameo appearance at the end.
It'd be nice if for once an action manga would have at least somewhat realistic action... I don't mean the magic part, but the part where they claim asuna is learning kendo, and she isn't doing anything that looks like kendo (she wasn't even holding her fan-thingy right, and setsuna wasn't either), or where they take "combat" stances and they are in a horrrrrrible stance to fight in... D:! It's disappointing... But its a manga, so whatever.
be prepared to meet characters with ridiculously unlimited strength.
be prepared that in the latter chapters, character strength got awful revision, their 'actual' power got way greater without any basis.
meet super genius people, who can beat veteran only with few months of training.
meet dumb girl characters who flock to the main character without any attraction process.
feast your eyes with ridiculous and also uniformed fashion (what so significant about the cloak?).
enjoy your time reading meaningless filler with a lot of pantyshot and nipple-less tits.
fall in awe with strange, unoriginal, and boring assortment of magic technique performed by characters.
be in shock for even weakest character can match up with masters after acquiring special item.
with a legion of minus points, yet this manga is still enjoyable.
sometimes, people want to read very light material, without taste, without plot solidity, just trendy.
its like watching gossip on tv, showcased poorly.
plus point?
there is some.
chao ling shen got a good design. her battle style's well shown, and the finale of her arc is fascinating.
albiero also got a good design. his innitial appearance make us think he is a super power. yet later, he confess that he actually has been greatly weakened.
I tried so hard to continue reading this manga hoping for some kinda captivating plot or deep emotional trap to reel me in but I felt like I was gasping for escape from this repetitive manga. How can people say the art is great? it is mediocre, come on there is much better out there and its not hard to find. I might have read too many great manga in the past that this one doesn't interest me, maybe if I had read it earlier on it could have keep me reading. Oh well too late for that now.

The anime, isn't something I've seen, oh but I've definetly read the manga. The manga itself, is definetly different to Love Hina, and it's length, shows that Akamatsu really has bothered to stick to this series. The series, is definetly amazing, similar to Love Hina in some ways, but there is no romance. I enjoy, and currently waiting for a batch of Negima to come out before I read it, because reading a chapter a time every week is difficult for me to recall what previously happened.
The overall storyline, being of MANY genres, I can give 10/10. It's an awesome series, not including the anime. The art, definetly, top notch stuff, Akamatsu's art has definetely improved, so I give it 10/10. Storyline, amazing, definetely, each character has it's own complex relationship, with the main character, one way or another, and they don't just come, and leave in the middle of an arc, unlike Chao. The ending has yet to come, and I will wait and see what Akamatsu has in plan for us, for this fantastic series. 10/10.
