This is a cute twist of the classic manhua cliche we’re a woman has a child and the overbearing CEO daddy has no idea until it’s brought to his attention and he hunts her down. In this manhua both parents are male and the child has been given birth though a surrogate mother.

Fluffy comedy

Past the 10ish first chapters which make little sense with the story afterwards, this is a slow romance between a CEO and an wanabe actor and deals with their daily lives and family issues. It has cuteness, fluff comedy, some drama and a pinch of supernatural elements.
What sets apart this series from others is the large range of deep LGBT issues (including a interesting chapter on the difference between coming out and being outed) and LGBT parenting issues, while staying cute, light and fun.

Wholesome cuteness

The art is great and loving it so far. Wholesome and cute. VERY much a soap opera TV show vibes but more comedy than angst.

I really wish they had kept the same vibe as it had at the start....the art was really really good, had an interesting premise. I love the soap opera type of twists and turn but sometimes this series is a bit over the top HAHAH

BTW is it just me or did they switch artist at a certain point? I prefer the art of the first few chapters than the recent ones (not that the recent art is bad, but the art of the first few chapters was more lovely).

There was a lot of useless chapters in this story. Very roundabout and hijinks-y. I also can’t for the life of me figure out why Yi told everyone his son was his younger cousin. He’s like 27, he can and does have a 3 year old son. Also magic and a prophesy? I’m confused about the genre of the story. It was so slow and so recapped that I ended up reading every 10th or so chapters and I never felts lost. The story could easily have been finished in like 5 chapters. Literally the main couple doesn’t even kiss until chapter 140. That’s one hundred and forty.

I think it’s an adorable idea and the art is super cute, but it is completely done in anime soap opera style where literally nothing happens forever. Then one thing happens and then a lot of nothing forever. This is not the 90s or the 00s anymore and I just can’t take it.
