With a manga tagged with "rape," "possessive lover," and "angst," you'd think people would get an idea of what the story's about. o_0 I guess they were misled by the cute pretty art, and the fact that Minami Haruka normally does light comedy type yaoi.
Anyways, about the main characters, I kind of find this dynamic interesting. BOTH of them were/are in love, but due to circumstances, it evolved into a master-servant relationship (sex-wise). Otherwise though, the seme and uke were pretty standard for this kind of theme. I suppose the best part of this yaoi was the angst.
I STILL feel sorry for the older brother. I really have conflicted feelings.
The older brother's relationship with the old man was kinda messed up, especially when you think of how young older brother would have been when it started.
I'm pretty good at separating fiction from my real life beliefs, but something about this bothered me, even though I've read tons of stories (and enjoyed it) with that scenario before. I'm not sure what set me off on this, but I suppose the author succeeded if I'm feeling this way.
The ending could also use more work. I don't think the "resolution" was nowhere near as satisfying as the other parts. I honestly think Minami Haruka may have a future in the "darker" yaoi genre, but needs to work on her story endings.
