When Tanami Riku's father died in a traffic accident, he was left all alone. Then suddenly a guy named Onikubo Nagi came and demanded to be his guardian in place of his father, who was actually Nagi's former teacher. Then he applied as Riku's homeroom teacher! He pushed himself into Riku's life without even asking for permission. Living with the Super Sadistic Teacher was unbelievably harsh. What exactly did Nagi want with Riku?

Hmm...quite okay ^-^

I'm not that much into comedy mangas, but I did like this one. I cracked up at parts and it was pretty cute! Riku's so straight-forward! I can't help but love him, even if he pisses me off by being a cry-baby.

I do say, though: read the categories before you start something. I read this because my friend recommended it to me, and it's the total opposite of my yaoi style, so I say in advance that I won't be as gentle as the previous reviewers. Oh, and what about the category "masochist"? WHERE, exactly? Riku wasn't a proper maso, Nagi was just kidding when he said that!

Anyways, it didn't get much to me in the way it was supposed to. Didn't make me cry in its emotional parts. I know it's a funny manga, but the drama bits didn't made me care.
Well, I hate to dismiss the previous comments on this manga, but it's totally over rated by other people. It's not nearly as good as everybody said. Quite ordinary, not special in any way (plot, twist, depth or even characters) and not good enough to be rated 10 either. I'm sorry, but I've gotta say that if you've been in the yaoi road for a long time, this won't make you bite your nails in curiosity.
Opposed to other people's opinions, I did find it boring at parts and hard to continue for lack of interest. The only reason I actually read it till the end was thinking things like "oh, just a couple of chapters to go now, I should at least finish it". I'm not saying that it's bad, because it IS indeed worth reading...just don't get mislead by the reviews if you're already used to yaoi and expecting a precious gem every time you read one, like I am.

And what about the grave part? Just like Junjou Romantica's "Junjou Terrorist"! I'm sorry to say that, but she couldn't even bother to copy from a less famous manga?!

Now - and it suuuch a dirty thing - the reason I don't really like stories where the semes are virgins is because they get too excited and either cum to fast or need the uke's help to get going with the making out, the next step to take and such. This was no exception and to me it makes the sex scenes less enjoyable =/

The last chapter was to show their lovey-dovey life, but still, the ending was quite abrupt, which I didn't really get, but it's okay. I just missed a proper "I love you" coming from Nagi, even if it's cliché and his feelings were really clear (At that part, at least, because I really didn't understand the development of his feelings for Riku either).

Now, not to say only bad things and mostly to justify why I liked it: Nagi's past is really good. Though it's quite predictable, it does have some unexpected twists. For instance, I didn't expect him to be a delinquent nor a prostitute. And also, I thought he'd be mutually in love with Riku's father. I really liked that it wasn't like that, and not for moral reasons, but because it made the story somewhat unique.

There's another thing that I REALLY liked. Nagi himself. And I'm not talking about him being tsundere-ish, but about his devilish side. Because his partner is a virgin, it gave him space to shine, and therefore he's the sexiest uke on the planet. He's sooo naughty, but adorable at the same time! I didn't get as much in his thoughts as I'd like to, but I was rather satisfied with just being able to drool at him! Summing it up, Nagi's the whole reason why this manga is okay!

The art is good, too. At first it wasn't to my taste, but I got used to it and actually started appreciating it. I'm not quite found of the graphic parts, though - and by that I don't mean the sex itself, but them getting naked all the time and things like that, that are kinda disgusting in the way they're drawn.
I especially like that they both have MANLY bodies and don't look like girls, and that even though Nagi's short, his body structure is pretty much the same as Riku, not more feminine or anything like that.

Anyways, just don't expect too much, but it's enough to pass some time.

Trust me, it has been a long time since I found a yaoi manga as epic as this.
Comedy, plot, art - all top notch. This goes into my list of favorite yaoi manga.
A MUST READ!!! I wished I could give this a 20/10!

This is one of my favorite yaoi mangas. It made my heart twinge on some parts.. I love that feeling. This manga is definetly a plus. If you have not read it yet, I suggest you get on it because this one is a MUST READ.

The art is all sharp angles and polished style! The movement is paced bang-bang-bang! It's brilliantly plotted to draw you in immediately. The art and story runs the gamut from hilarious (I reread scenes just because they made me laugh so much!), intensely sexual (again with the rereads--so hawt and angsty and heart warming too), and completely believable with compelling behaviour on both characters' parts. And suspenseful like woah!

The plotting is never boring: chapter four gives insight on Nagi's personality from chapter one through three. Amagi-sensei excels at showing over telling. Her characters have pasts, presents and actively think about their futures. It's all delivered with intense curiousity-creating waves.

The seme is atypical for yaoi: he's a crybaby, but still strong, aggressive, and self-confident, as is the uke, only one is jaded, and the other is not.

The characters really are intensely likeable. You'll be sad when your journey with them is over, but happy you were invited in for a time!

The only complaint I have is that Nagi's feelings could have been demonstrated a bit more clearly. Why did his feelings for his charge change? There were one or two silent scenes that touched on it, but it was slightly too little. Still, the silent scenes had great implied depth.

Did I mention it was hilarious?

PS. The art shows all body parts in all positions in full glory! *so happy!*

Wow, this manga was hilarius! XD I really loved the sadistic/bossy streaks of the uke (my god, he was killer as a teacher biggrin), and the seme was cuuute! I also adored the fact that the latest was a virgin. Quite an original set-up. The art was candy for the eyes, though some may find it embarassingly detailed for the "action" scenes.

All in all, I had a great time reading this, and I'll surely check Amagi's other works. Strongly recommended. biggrin

Hot bishies, solid plot, great humor... Well, there's not much more you can ask for in a yaoi title. I love how there aren't such heavily defined "seme" and "uke" roles in this one, too. This is my first manga by Reno Amagi... and it's made me interested in reading more smile
