Takamura Uru takes her mother’s remarriage as an opportunity to strike out on her own and begin a part time job. Filled with the thought of “If only I could make someone happy…”, she begins working at Café Bohneur, a shop famous for cakes; but the employees, Ichirou-kun and Shindou-san, turn out to be incredibly unsociable. These two, though frightening at first glance, begin to change something inside of her. This is the start of a romance about Uru’s search for happiness.

I have read this manga once again and again. The gags never get old. Especially with Takamura Uru's denseness. It's so funny to see her being called 'She's my daughter' by many middle-aged men to claim her for their son(?). I especially love protagonist's younger cousin.
In order to enjoy the manga without boredom; you have to focus on each panel. Concentrate, and imagine it happening around you. Now my mouth is filled with a laughing bomb.
It's funny protagonist tripped into the center of a love polygon, too. I feel bad for Nishikawa Ichirou at the end though as this is why I hate reverse harem manga sometimes. This needs a sequel.

Overall i liked reading this. It was different than i imagined it to be, but in a cute way. All the characters are loveable and the storyline down the road dug into more complex issues which i wasnt expecting. Uru, i dont know why but she reminds me of Tohru, you cant help but love her and want to protect her (even if she probably doesnt need it with that incredible strength of hers) xD

I really love both Shindou and Ichirou and knew from the start who she would end up with. Its a shame it really wasnt Ichirou though since I felt they had a strong chemistry with another and even more interaction but at the same time Im not disappointed she didnt end up with him (maybe since I already knew from the start). Im a little upset though you didnt get to see Uru and Shindou kiss in the end! :( Everything was pretty rush and i felt it wouldve had a better close with all the other characters if it were just another volume longer.
I didnt like how the author, even after three years, had all the other guys STILL in love with Uru. I only wished even if there wasnt another girl in the picture for all of them at least have them over and happy for her instead of still aiming for Uru when she's already in a relationship. But its OK I made up my own story for them all anyway with a very good ending. especially Ichirou T,T

This is honestly one of my favorite mangas of all time. I would highly encourage everybody to read it! It's so uplifting and funny and it's a touching story all at the same time. I absolutely adore this, the characters are wonderful, the plot is really enjoyable and it's innocent and cute. I love this. Please read it!
I loved this manga. It had me laughing every chapter. It was possibly one of the best manga I've ever read.
But I wish the author would've included some love interests that actually stood a chance. Because it was pretty obvious who Uru was going to end up with.
The ending was so rushed. I hated it. It's like she wrapped up this amazing book in less than a chapter. The time skip was done so wrong. You don't get a glimpse of their married life, or get to see their children. I was kinda ticked off. Because of that I had to knock a point off.
At the end of the day, It was a really good book. I would recommend it to any of my friends.

When Uru turned Sou down, and he cried, my heart broke into little pieces. Some little part of me was hoping she'd be with him. But If she doesn't want him, I will gladly take him for myself.

I mean, did Ichirou really have to still be in love with her THREE years later?! Sure, unrequited love and all, but what ever happened to the first step of moving on?
After 5 volumes I realized that this was not my cup of tea. Yeah, in the beginning it's kind of cute, but it quickly turns out to follow a boring and cliche routine with every damn guy falling for Uru.

The main character, Uru, is just about the cutest girl I've read about in any manga. She's just so sweet! I love all the side characters, like Kenshi, Arimouto, Sakura, Jirou, etc. etc. This is an amazing manga, and it does have quite a few twists in it! Just read the first chapter and you'll be hooked!
I must say this is one of my favorites. I like the characters because they're so innocent and strange. Uru is really cute! Yes, it is pretty cliche and I agree with other comments that at first I didn't expect much because the summary sounded boring but I gave it a chance and really liked it! The only thing I don't like is that their necks are freaking HUGE (well at least more noticeably at certain times) and its kind of scary. They look like alien giraffes sometimes, especially Shindou... well at least to me. Still love the story

This manga is in my top 3 favourites because it's sooooo funny and makes me laugh. I love Uru because she's really cute and funny and is nothing like your usual wimpy heroine. Shindou and Ichirou are also really funny. I mean who wouldn't like a tiny girl who's stronger than men 3 times her size; A guy who falls asleep when he's hungry and has to be woken by feeding him; And finally a crazy, hot headed baker who only smiles when he's baking. The art work suits the story really well and the story is nice to read.

Just finished this not long ago, and I must say the author has done a great job with the story line until the end. Not quite satisfied for me as it seemed quite rushed in my opinion. But other than that, everything else was just nicely paced out. I would rate this a 10 if the end was wrapped up better!
