There is no real development in the story, each chapter just drags on. And why did the heroine get so pathetic so quickly??!!! The mangaka keeps the same types of characters regardless of the stories she creates. Its quite frustrating. I do not recommend this to anyone looking for a good read.

i'm just a bit irritated to the leading woman.. at first, she's really a cool girl for me... but as soon as the story goes on and on.. i think the story is just going farther to the main plot of the story..

Jeez I don't know why everyone hates this manga, I don't think the main character is nearly as pathetic as many others. She really does slightly redeem herself in chapter 15, so at least read til then. Although I do understand the boredom at being fed the same storyline over and over, so I think essentially it's simply a lightweight read.

A total piece of crap. I admit that I admire the mangaka for her few other works but this manga is beyond idiotic. To be honest I am not very surprise with such a story from Minami since she also create Honey Honey drop exact the same atmosphere... I dont know why all her manga has such a weak character specially guys always bully the heroine... *GAHHH!* I like the first chapter though.

But still looking forward to the end of this manga afterall... i loath it for some various reason but its still a manga that can satisfies a reader like me knowing they'll have happy ending even they have ups and down its a predictable sort of manga.. I'm giving a rate of 10 >< just because I admire the mangakas art.. though the story driving me crazy giving me heartache coz of some stupid rerason that the fact the heroine is as always WEAK *duh*... but i won't leave it hanging not reading it.. its bittersweet!
Oh, and OVA is coming soon.. OMG can't wait! though its short OVA like honey drops i'd love to see it just because of the quality of the anime... they're pweeetttyyy for sure ^^

At the beginning the story was good, a nice smart girl who was strong and had a good character, now the girl its completely the opposite, just like the stupi girls whoo used to be in my classroom, crying all the time cause her boyfriend its going to dump her, acting like she has nothing in her head, now i dont like the way minami has taken with her but at the end she can do what she wants, its us the ones decide to continue reading or not her projects, but eventhought i dont like it too much I'll give it a second chance and gonna try to continue the reading.....

in the beginning this work was def a ten; the girl stood up for herself and didn't fall for the guy everyone loved; she was strong and somewhat levelheaded

now shes your typical shoujo girl; obsessed with the guy and crying over him and all "he doesn't love me! wahh" when he has even told her he does many times

lame; i'm upset that this manga went in this direction BUT its not lke horribly bad since I will continue to read

it was interesting at first, i tried it because i usually like Minami's works but the girl is soo annoying..she can't believe that kyouta actually likes her..and all she thinks about is herself, and she always thinks hes gonna break up with her =.=" omg get a back bone!

Generic! Baaaah -- the little spunk that Tsubaki showed disappears almost immediately. She's got butterflies or gone willy-nilly! Kyouta is an outright jerk for some 4 months to her and then she still decides to go up and like him. I'm sorry, how can anyone sympathize with her? Is it because the main lead is the hottest guy in school? Or because he has some silly dark past that has led him to his Casanova attitude towards women? He's a player, and she still ends up liking him without pause. God-awful -- I think it would be much better if it was a one-shot. Sorry guys, I'm just getting sick of the same old story with 'ugly girl' and 'hot guy'. I really wanted another guy to whisk Tsubaki away -- someone to rival Kyouta. Honestly, Kyouta is such a douche.

I read chapter 15, but I think it's nothing special. But then again, I skipped chapters 8-14 because I couldn't stomach it much more.

I agree with other comments that it was good but then turned typical. She falls for him just as he said she would. She tries to change to please him but he no longer shows any interest in her now that he's "won" the bet. Now it's gone downhill and I switched it to my unfinished list. The heroine starts out as a stronger character but now has become a moron trying to get that jerk's attention. It's going backward. The playboy who showed interest in her turns out to be just a jerk who wanted to win her then dump her, putting her in a category with all the other lovesick and stupid shoujo girls chasing after jerks.

Stumbled across this when bored and read the first 15 chapters in one go. I found it alright at first but now it's degenerated into a typical romance I've lost all interest. If you like the whole 'OMG what to wear for a date' types, an unlikely pairing, and huge drama's being made from miniscule slip ups then you might like this but all in all this manga quickly bored me with it's cliche's. Points for good artwork and the female acrtually standing up for herself at the start.
