embarrassed this was my fourth manga I ever read, all you ppl r putting it down !!! I looooooved it and for his sakes its cliche because youve already read it somewhere before, but you don't have to put it down just because if that !! Seriously, if this is your first-ish manga read it because its the best your gonna get ! Yeah I can't read it now decays its been a year since I read it and little scandlation has been made, so it would feel weird...

EDIT: two years later. I came back to this and re-read the whole thing within a day. Loved it. Fairy tale ending . if only that ish happened in real life aye

Don't know if I'll keep reading this. I might- but just because I don't like the idea of not finishing a manga after I've started reading.
At first the main character seems like someone with a "unique" personality - that'd be the only thing which would make the plot interesting in this manga- not "looking" or "acting" like the rest of the teenagers. but the fact that she actually wants to be like them makes her the same. so she is actually a dumb teenage girl. Kyouta... can't say much about him, he must have some problems for not kicking that girl. really, is he a monk or something I wonder. not that I think he could be one. we'll see...

so, if you feel like facepalming once in every 5 seconds, of maybe if you are a bit too agressive and feel like kicking someone this manga could give you a reason to!
I love having a red forehead afterall.

Annoying and frustrating...

With this being a Minami Kanan work, I didn't have high expectations when I first started reading. Her heroines tend to be incredibly weak and useless. Lack of communication is a major factor for all the drama that happens in the manga and it is boring since it gets repetitious. Tsubaki seriously needs to grow a backbone because her constant insecurity in her relationship with Kyouta and lack of confidence in herself is painful to sit through. It is tiring and predictable when girl after girl pops up to cause misunderstandings in the relationship when it can all be resolved with a simple conversation. Also, why doesn't Tsubaki call Kyouta by his first name? After everything that happened you'd think she would...

Disappointment

The way the story presented itself made you think it was going to have a fresh feel. Don't get your hopes up. I give it a 2 because it is not the worst out there, and before the protagonist lost her mind and decided to become your typical whinny protagonist, I did enjoy the manga. If not for that, I would rate this a 1 because this manga disgust me.

However, I am not saying not to read this manga. I say give it a try because you may like it. Don't read it with high hopes or then you might find yourself greatly disappointed or even disgusted.

I advise not to judge the manga based on my disgust for it, but merely keep your expectations to a minimal. If I had been given this advice before I went to read this manga, I may have never picked it up to read, or I'd have at least not have been so disappointed by it.

Ok so i've read reviews on the other works this mangaka's done AND i have also READ this manga and i am sorry this manga is utter BEEP.
The main character started out interesting: she wanted to be cute, pretty etc. Not very original.
Then there comes this playboy hot guy (veryyyyy original) who wants to take her "firsts." You can tell without looking at the genre its all about smut...and sex. I hate this mangaka's smut.
The male MC's got mother issues which every other shojo hero/heroine does and for some reason after kind of half-abusing her she still LIKES HIM. That, my friends is messed up.
This is very cliched i won't lie, but the underlying themes of sexual harassment left me really uneasy especially when his former friend does something to her and then they forgive him...his reason was so fricking stupid!! IM SO ANGRY AT THE GIRL"S IN THIS MANGA.

I dont care what anyone says, whether its a typical shoujo or something really exciting. I love reading shoujo's, its the genre I stick to despite being able to depict the future. I mean, i'm laughing over here because when you first pick it up or read it via the internet, it shows you the genre and you guys still read it already knowing it's a cliche then bitch about the heroine being whiny or cry's alot. As you can see whiny heroines and hot bishies get high ratings. I mean how can you people not like these sappy, cheesy love storys? We all know it does not happen in real life so you might aswell enjoy it in a book. I mean if your looking for a different type of shoujo/romance then read shounen/ romance. That should give you a run for your money. Lastly, I love their budding romance, its actually very cute and very refreshing also I love it when the male league always one step ahead of her. I also would like to congratulate her as well because she tried so hard for him and never give up because if it was me I would probably ignore him and move on. Well that tells you the difference between reality and fantasy. All in all, I love it and recommend it, it was actually one of the first manga I read that got me hooked on shoujos and now I'm never turning back smile

Classic shoujo

You have the weak female, the bullies, the jealous best friend, the popular guy who can't seem to get over his "dark past" and to sum it all up,the cliched plot. Commonplace as it is,the art was remarkable and refreshingly good,so I assume that got this manga some heated popularity somewhere around. I personally think the author (Kanan) has greatly improved with the art as compared to her previous works. The good part was actually when the author decided to fit in some smutty details although subtle if I may conclude.
Anyway, this is pretty much dragging along with the the rest and the plot's REALLY getting annoying. The author tries to come up with different subplots just to separate both leads in some way but get together in the end which is kind of like trying to divert the readers' attention away from the main couple and pick up some other side character suitable enough for the female. So turns out a love triangle, love polygon or whatever you call it.And this goes on and on and on that it gets sickeningly repetitive.
I decided to drop this, anyway.Isn't it already too predictable once it ends?

Cliche story, good execution

The story is your typical high school romance, with the usual cliches and storylines (getting together, first dates, relationship trials, etc.) you would expect, so not much originality there. But I do think the execution of the story is better than average.

The leads are appealing. I actually think the heroine is pretty interesting in her old-fashioned ways. And I like how the characters' actions actually make sense with respect to their personalities. Even little things like how Hibino has to fold her clothes before her first time having sex.

There are the occasional love rivals, but for the most part, the major relationship problems are mundane everyday issues that real teenagers deal with on a first relationship (learning to trust, balancing studying with love life, sex or no sex, deciding on what to do after graduation), and the writer does a good job of illustrating particular moments from a first love, like the weird feeling you get when you first talk to the person you like over the phone.

All in all, a decent read.

So okay. for the record i just read like 9 chapters of it and it already annoys the hell outta me. I don't get the heroine. Is she really smart or what? I love reading smut. And we all know that SMUT MANGA usually have dumb heroine. But this one is just annoyingly dumb. >.< it irks me!

The story so far, I can't believe she fell in love in like a few chapter with the guy who "BULLY" her.
and the part where the lead guy stole her first kiss? That's just so cliche! DX

But still this manga is on my to-read list. I still wanna know what her sister will do to get the lead guy, and what she will do to stop that. If she do anything annoying for me again, then this'll be trash! I'll rate 4 now, for the art. at least it's tolerable than other smutty character :\

Exhausting to read because of the lead female's constant, ceaseless blushing. I honestly tried carrying on because it was labeled "smut" and the guy happens to be hot. However, seeing as I found none such smut, and no discernable plot along the way either, I was sorely disappointed.
