Description
Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan is a fun and dark 4-koma manga about the real (?) life of the author, a single woman in Tokyo who drifts through relationships and works at various hostess clubs and the like. Lots of commentary on "birds of prey" (moukin), girls who use their cuteness and affect stupidity in order to try to score men (against whom the author is constantly fighting). [Zigguratbuilder]

A 4-koma comedy featuring a (usually) nude woman named Ekoda-chan, who is somewhat of an avatar for the mangaka herself, commenting on her daily affairs and the foibles of those around her.
Unfortunately (in the first chapter anyway) Ekoda-chan's observations tend to be callow and (for the mangaka) oddly self-serving.
The shorts give you the feeling of listening to a smug, self-important young teenager, who is noticing patterns in normal human nature for the very first time; and deciding because of that, that they have some sort of unique insight and are perceiving things that have never ever been noticed by... well... everybody at one point or another.
Hopefully Ekoda-chan matures intellectually in later chapters, and becomes less pompous and puerile. Otherwise this one max's out at 4.
