For a manga this long, Masahiro and Yoshimi's relationship was a little rushed...not the relationship itself, but Yoshimi's feelings towards Masahiro. But given his personality, it's understandable, because he's never heard a 'no'.
As for the characters, I totally love Yoshimi. He's so childish! He's my favorite type of seme: sadistic, forceful, selfish and pushy, but only because he's intense, passionate, strong and even caring.
And Masahiro's actually cool too! He's really something for an uke, and he's strong-minded too.
But what I 'feel' about Akito is complicated. He pissed me off. Not so much because of his personality, but his role on the story irritates me. I hated how Masahiro seemed to prefer him at the beginning sometimes, and he's way too gentle and prince-like - I hate those types of characters, they should have negative points too! Also, I've always felt he was up to something bad, and that his feelings for Masahiro weren't real. But then I was wrong and actually started to like him a little, because he was brave enough to understand Masahiro loved Yoshimi and even help them out by pointing it out to him. Then I hated him again for wanting to "hold Masahiro for the last time", and I hated Masahiro even more for letting him. Then I loved him for realizing it wouldn't be right and stopping. And mostly, I love how his relationship with Masahiro was set after all. They became special to one another without getting together in a romantic way. Cute! Now I love Akito.
Then it got me thinking...if Akito was the main character, we would hate Yoshimi. After all, he did kinda steal Masahiro away, even if him and Akito were apart. But as the story went on and why they separate was revealed, it was acceptable.
As for the conflict, about Yoshimi having been invited to live abroad, I think Minase-sensei used it only to explain Masahiro's feelings better. To confirm them, to show he really loved Yoshimi, and not as the main conflict itself, as some people thought.
It's interesting how people (and not only in manga, but in them we can see it clearly) fall in love way before they realize it. Masahiro was thinking too much about Yoshiro right from the start, and was totally won over with that "become mine". Yet he took so long to admit it and tried to deny it too. In the end, I loved the hair cut thing about Masahiro and loved the end itself. Especially because of that peek at their future! ♥
