It has been said somewhere in the manga. But I don't want to look for that, since I have no clue where it might be. 🤢

Either the beginning or the Arrancars appearing.
I think it was the first time when we saw a flying shinigami, right? Hitsugaya.
I'll try to look for it later. Or we could simply ask at bleachexile.

Well, I do know that the first time Ichigo 'flew', was when he was fighting against Inoue's Brother. He suddenly stops in mid-air. >.<

But yeah, I think it's somewhere near the beginning too. Or maybe when Shinji appeared...

"fly" is kind of exaggerating it a bit. its more along the line of walking on air. something to do with spirit particles. a simple gist of it is roughly like collecting the air particles around you on the base of your feet and use that to stand on.

i just thought of something...

if someone dies in hecuo mundo(sp?) couldent they just get sent back there from Soul Socity for a second chance, i mean, when someone dies in bleach, thats where they go if they arent held up by something right?
if a human dies in hecuo mundo, wouldent that just mean they go to soul socity?

The souls go to Soul Society~ Unless they're bound to something. Emotion, building, etc...

Are you sure about that? I just kinda thought if you died in spirit form you turned to spirit particles or get recycled to the human world...

It's confusing. >.<

We know that one weak Hollow contains one soul, and than one can 'purify' it and send it to Soul Society with a Shinigami's Zanpaktou.

But what happens if a weak Hollow gets eaten by another Hollow? Does that Hollow absorb that soul too?

And by that definition; A Gillian consists of a hundred souls, and an Adjucha of even more. So when they die, without being eaten by another Hollow, do they go to Soul Society then? Or maybe they just turn into spirit particles? o.O

And because an Adjucha or Vasto Lorde has so many souls, they developed a conscious and have power over their instincts(eating souls)? That way Nell can be a good Arrancar, who doesn't eat souls...

But what happens if a weak Hollow gets eaten by another Hollow? Does that Hollow absorb that soul too?.. It's not like that. At the Hollow state, the soul technically does not exist, as it's transformed into a hollow. When one hollow absorbs another, it simply absorbes something that is no longer a soul.
It takes a shinigami ability for the soul to appear again.

Do you remember that Shiba Kaien impostor? He absorbed other hollows and shinigami. Kaien did not melt with other souls ( he was a shinigami, technically a soul ), so the creep could put his mask on, along with the memories, character, even the way of talking

And here I thought that hollows were more just the form of the ID taking over completely (violent base urges), instead of keeping their humanity, unless keeping some if they were more powerful. And as they ate another hollow (or people, since that's supposed to be their reason for going to the human world was to eat other souls), they just absorbed the spirit particles that made up the previous soul/hollow, thereby making them more powerful. I thought they kinda half mentioned that when they described the

small creature hollow that could still live in hueco mundo by breathing in the airborne spirit particles that were existant there, instead of having to attack and eat something made of spirit particles

As for the thing that ate Kaien, he mentioned he was special due to the power he had to eat anything and absorb it's thoughts, thereby letting him take on the guise of his previous prey, along with it's memories and abilities, hence the infinite evolution potential

So basically, in a nutshell, I've always been under the impression that both 'souls' (the kind that go to soul society) and the hollows are both made of spirit particles, and the hollows have to ingest spirit particles in some form that's dependant on their size in order to survive.

Also, in Hueco Mundo, there is a kill or be killed mentailty. Darwin's theory of the fittest survive is in full effect, so the more base of creatures would instinctively kill for food and domination. As they got more powerful (and perhaps intelligent) they began to realize where their added power is coming from, and then choose whether or not to continue to grow their power in that manner. The section with Grimjow's flashback explains that a bit, where he was low level initially, and then worked his way up to where he stands now by killing and injesting other hollow.

I believe in this case greydark is right, when you die in spirit form, your soul disperses into spirit particles. Though, maybe not right away, there should be enough time for the hollow to eat your 'remains'.

Something thats been bothering me for a while.

Isshin was a shinigami until 20 years ago (Urahara said that when Isshin killed grand fisher). Rukia enter the Gotei 13 40 years ago.

If Isshin was a captain shouldn't Rukia recognize him? Every shinigami knows all the captains.
