Hmm, I've searched the forums, and didn't find any thread similar. If there is one, I apologize beforehand. I had a sudden interest for these kind of characters, and wanted to see what names you'll end up with. ;D

Could lead me to new manga too. A classic example of a GAR guy would be Gutts/Gatts from Berserk. 🤨

Here's a definition for GAR:

"A term used towards male characters and individuals who are so overwhelmingly manly that your own masculinity is absolutely buried, leaving you naught but a whimpering, swooning girl-child before them."

Munsu -Shin Angyo Onshi - if youve read it, you know what i mean
Musashi - vagabond - this guy OOZES manliness. could almost give chuck norris penis envy
Takashi Komuro - highschool of the dead - makes me want zombies to take over just so i can be a badass with hot chicks falling all over me
Jin-Ho Myung- Unbalance x Unbalance - might seem out of place, but for a romance manga lead, he is a badass. he beats down annoying chicks (huge plus in my book) and pins down the woman he wants. BALLER status
Raki(after the time skip) -Claymore - "yeah im walking around with the most powerful awakened being as my little she-pet... got a problem? oh yeah, have you seen my other woman?" seriously? he knows how to swing a sword and play his women.
Kei Kurono-Gantz- he had a rough start, but he grows into his own. "hey woman! sex. now. I am about to go murder gratuitous amounts of aliens." amounts
Yuno-Mirai Nikki- controversial maybe, but she is too perfect to be a woman, she has to be hiding some man parts between her legs somewhere.
**Thorfinn **- Vinland Saga - this fierce little dude makes me want to be a viking.
Morisaki Harumi - XBlade - it might be too soon to call this one, but i can see him being a badass in a few more chapters. he is like inches away from being true GAR. that and it doesnt seem like many people read this..
**Sousuke **-Full Metal Panic - holy crap, i almost forgot this entry. The only reason why i would ever want to be born into a middle eastern war zone is so i might have a chance to be like this kid. in one scene he takes on a group of thugs by going for their leader and just inserting his knife into his chest with out damaging anything serious and then politely asks them to leave with their leader as a hostage. How does he walk with grapefruit sized testicles? thats what i want to know

Haha i love that description. The only guy in manga/anime i have met that fits that desciption is Sendou from Hajime no Ippo Despite being a featherweight, he's so ridiculously manly it makes me shiver!

"Originally starting on 4chan's /a/ applying solely to Archer, a character from Fate/stay night, due to the harmony of the two words (Gay for ARcher). Allegedly derived through a typo by an Anonymous expressing love/admiration for Archer after his gutsy last stand in episode fourteen of Fate/stay night. That Anonymous intended to say, "I'm Gay for Archer," but mistakenly typed "I'm Gar for Archer."

Exactly. Considering it was a mistake involving a description of Archer (Fate/Stay Night) on 4chan, he should definitely be up there.

Kamina (Gurren Lagann) and GTO are always the first characters that pop into my head though.
