I've watched/read School Days, and Elfin Lied and a few others that aren't coming to mind. Anybody else know any good manga and anime with similar scenarios and lots'o blood?

You might want to try Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It's an excellent psychological horror that has about the same level of bloodshed. All of the separate manga are actually parts of the same story, although I would actually recommend the two seasons of the anime over it since that's actually completed.

I'm certain it's "sequel" Umineko no Naku Koro ni will be set up in a similar way, but I've yet to play the game or read beyond 2 chapters or so into the manga, and the anime won't begin until next year.

Although it's a little off from what you're asking for, I'd also highly recommend Kara no Kyoukai, a horror/supernatural film (or OVA?) series that's still ongoing. Amazing art and soundtrack, but not so much about "betrayal", although I guess you can link the struggle against an inherent desire to kill to Elfen Lied.

its starts bad.. guy, 16 years old.... serial killer......... stuck in hell for 300 years (poor him)

the demons dont want him anymore and dump him on earth... with some curses... if he tries to commit a sin or tinks about killing his neck starts to bleed.... if he keeps it up his head will fall of and if that aint enough he only got 108 days to gather 108 toga's (sins and crimes manifested in a sort off spirit) if he hurts a human while doing this he'll feel the same pain.. and to gather these toga's he has a sword named togari that gets it strength from how evil its wielder is, but togari also eats evil souls.. so in fact its a death punishment..

and the world changes a lot in 300 years..

and even if he completes his task.. he wont be able to stay on earth but will go to heaven to be reborn........... to bad he is falling in love (a hardnoticble love, but if you pay attention there is)

he is so evil^^ and if you see flashbacks of his youth aaah! how tragicly and full of pain........... he killed a lot of people at the age of 16............ and the bloody part is mostly him... because he can hurt other people and also in the flashback.....

Doubt plenty of blood plenty of deception/betrayal. Great horror manga.

Blade of the Immortal and Sidooh Latter is about two brothers that are tricked into becoming slaves in a historical cult. Former is about immortal samurai that betrays his commander after finding out the truth of the killings he did. Do not read if you do not have a strong stomach, both are really gory and have nudity.

[m]Death Note] Murder, lies, betrayal, this manga has just about everything. Except excessive gore.

Liar Game The goal is to decieve your opponent. No blood here either.

Mirai Nikki is quite gory and has a good amount of betrayal. Not my cup of tea though.
