Inuyasha for me too.

But will get taken over by some of the really long running shounen out there when they finish (One Piece, anyone?)

Hajime no Ippo.

Even though its not complete, it took me a month just to read from chapter 1 to the current one.

It was a good month.

well its hard to determine what you consider long.

like some long ones i have finished i guess you can say they are long are:
Basara (27 Volumes)
Inuyasha (56 Volumes) (Anime/manga combination)
Ranma 1/2 (38 Volumes)
Eyeshield 21 (37 Volumes)
Flame of Recca (33 Volumes)
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken (37 Volumes)
Prince Of Tennis (42 Volumes)
Rave Master (35 Volumes)
Shaman King (32 Volumes)

Ones that i am still reading that are long are (with the volume they are up to):
Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! (26 Volumes)
Air Gear (25 Volumes)
Mahou Sensei Negima! (27 Volumes)
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (35 Volumes)

Currently Hikaru no GO. Even though VIZ has only released 16 volumes, I plan on buying it until it ends. 🙂

The longest one I read which has a complete story is Inuyasha - And I've read it entirely. I've bought all the volumes. It's the only manga of which I've bought all volumes.

And the longest one I have actually read is Detective Conan with it's 710 chapters. You know, it's not my fault it has not ended - nor it will for at least another 300 chapters...not that I'ld be sorry about that.

I'm way to busy/lazy to ever start something over 3 volumes or so, at least lately. The longest thing I've ever finished is Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Actually, I'm not sure I really did finish it. I can't imagine myself actually bothering to read 14 volumes of anything, no matter how amazing said volumes were.

I think I finished Prince of Tennis (42 volumes). I kind of zoned out during the second half of the manga, so I'm not entirely sure whether I read every chapter or if I just skimmed, but I do remember the ending. 😲

If I'm deluded about that, I do know that I read Rurouni Kenshin (28 volumes). 🤣

Technically, Prince of Tennis and Dragon Ball at 42 volumes each for for me. Currently, the "big three" shounen titles of One Piece (55 volumes), Naruto (47 volumes) and Bleach (41 volumes plus the current chapters) are as long or all longer, so if or when they finish they'll surpass PoT and DB as one of the longer series, though I honestly don't see One Piece ending for a while. Other notably long series on my complete lists are:

Beck (34 volumes)
Rurouni Kenshin (28 Volumes)
Eyeshield 21 (37 Volumes)
Flame of Recca (33 Volumes)
