Hmm I've read quite a few long manga...
over 30 volumes:
Ranma 1/2 - 38
Hana Yori Dango 36 or 37
Urusei Yatsura - 34
Flame of Recca - 33
Ah! My Goddess - read 33, still running
Detective Conan - read 31, I think, still running
Change Guy - 31
And too many with 20-29 volumes to list....

first of all i would like to say that posting the volumes is kinda bs since one manga could have 5 chapters in 1 volume and another one 10 chapters so kinda useless xD
And the longest manga i have completed would be GTO and Slam Dunk if looking at chapters

And at the same time, some chapters are much longer than others, so going by chapters is just as "useless"....probably more, as volumes tend to have a more consistent page count than chapters (in my experience). 🙄
If you want to get really picky, some manga have a lot more text than others, or more detailed art, or more small panels rather than full/half page panels so comparing them at all is pretty "useless" isn't it? 🙄

Beck - 34 volumes
I think most series I'm currently reading will not surpass that. Most series I read don't go over 15 volumes.

I think people's opinion on 'long' vary. To me, "long" is like 50+ volumes. The longest series I own right now, though, is Doraemon, it's 45 volumes and I only have the first ten. LOL

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro - 23
Fruits Basket - 23
Yeah. Thanks to this topic, I've noticed that most of the longer series I read are all shounen, and I don't have that many shounen on my lists XD Fruits Basket, of course an exception. :3
