Scarred for life?- No
Scared?-sometimes, but I get over it.

Same here, like in 7Seeds some of the stuff is just plain creepy/scarish

But yeah never been scared for my life since i knew it was all fictional....but some stuff just scares me easily....

EDIT: Okay, so I just read Monster I take everything back....that scared me....like the whole concept....scary.....

I was hentai-rolled the other day (think rick-roll but with a very disturbing hentai scene instead) Needless to say I didn't catch much but from what I saw it was a young girl (seriously like about 6!) being raped or something (I didn't watch enough to catch the actual plot). I retract my previous comments of yaoi, yuri and hentai being the sickest thing I ever saw. THAT was the sickest thing ever. I think lolicon hentai or lolicon in general is just too disturbing for words. I mean little girls and boys? What the HELL is wrong with some people? Even if is cartoons it's not right. Just thinking of it makes me shudder.

On a different note I'm kinda curious now to check out some of these mentally scarring manga, though I think I'm going to steer clear of the Guro-H and just Hentai in general regardless of curiosity. I know I will regret it deeply if I actually look at things like Mai-chan no Nichijou or Miko to Yajuu.n Just reading people's descriptions is enough to put me off, lol.

There's a couple of scenes from Ichi the Killer that made me cringe, the nipple cutting ones.

I've read some guro-hentai, but it wasn't that bad, since it's expected... I mean they draw those stuff to shock people, no? (anyone who gets excited from it is a sick, sick perv)

Good decision. I personally don't find general hentai disturbing, but Guro is way too much. Stay away from that stuff. And yes, how someone could get excited reading that stuff is beyond me. But it is made, so that means there is a demand for it (even if only a little, but I think it's probably more than I expect).

Gyo really disturbed me, I practically had nightmares about it. Uzumaki as well. Anything by that author just gives me the creeps. His stuff is creepy in a horrible nonconventional way that isn't actually scary but it's so weird in a "what if...?" sort of way.

And then there's that one-shot, maybe it was hentai; I didn't exactly read it, where this girl is gang-raped, mutilated and they hide her body in cement. I think it was based off a true story too. In case you don't know, Japan has some of the freakish and creepiest real life murderers ever. Damn Japan is fucked up.

The worst experience I've ever had with Anime is slightly embarrasing. It wasn't violent, or sexually confusing or even sexual for that matter. The anime is NANA. which is prolly stupid, but good lord so much bad Shtuff happens in that show. over and over again. I think the part that freaked me out the most was her boyfriend, whatever his name is, cheating on her for weeks without telling her before throwing in her face when he's caught. It just gets worse from there. I couldn't even finish it.......
Honestly it's pathetic but i'm sorta hyper sensitive when it comes to emotions. If i get into something or care about someone too much i feel everything that's going on. So if the main person gets cheated on i feel as tho i am too.....I know, pathetic..... 😢

Yea, that is another Guro h-manga done by the guy that made Death Panda and Mai-chan. It's one thing to write a Guro manga based on your messed up ideas, but when you base one on a real event, on someone's actual suffering, it's just plain wrong. I think that man is despicable.

Well.. Manga has never really scared me. But when I read Berserk, I had to take a break at the end the Eclipse part. I was so freaking agitated, it wasn't even funny anymore... I guess I was pretty close to a circulatory collapse. 🤣

I have to agree with you.
When reading mature manga such as Berserk, I always take breaks and relax for some time since the images are too graphical especially about what happened during the Eclipse Arc. I've never seen such a messed up man like Griffith...

Anyway, I've had some few "gore" manga in my list but the series that really scarred me for life is Gantz. I don't know why it became one of my fave list, but the arcs are interesting. But I must say, the "Uncylopedia Dramatica" with its disturbing images that sometimes comprised with manga images made me sick for about 2 days or so. 🙁

I found Koi kaze pretty disturbing... sometimes I remember parts of the manga and I just say to myself "Oh man, that stuff is just wrong...".

Usually, I'm pretty tough no matter what I read but seriously, this one yaoi one-shot totally freaked me out. I don't remember its name and I don't want to but I'm pretty sure it was released by Nakama.

The content is too horrible, so I'll put it in spoiler:

A guy fucked by a mad horse. Yes, a horse. It's bestiality! >__<

Some of the long-time yaoi readers might know what I'm talking about... Anyway, I'm glad that no other group has ever picked up this kind of yaoi manga again.

At first yuri/yaoi, but that was during my innocent days 🤣
I'd have to say Mirai Nikki, School Days, and Gantz...but I was only freaked out during the time that I read those; I recover quickly 😀

Edit:
But I'll say something else, like how I've never been scarred for life, but just for some periods of ime

Yes, I remember searching for a new manga to read since I'd run out and I had some time to myself. I don't remember what the manga was called but it had a little red riding hood that killed people searching for the "big bad wolf". Didn't get very far in it because it was just too disturbing for me so I deleted it and tried to cleanse my mind by rewatching and rereading love hina, then I had to reread hikaru no go... o.o; But seriously, that manga was just so messed up.
