Cousin - she started out overweight but is trying to better herself and become healthy. I wouldn't go so far as to say 'sexy' but becoming attractive is more fitting.

btw, if you look at the link to Cousin the girl on the cover is NOT the main girl.

Maybe check out Last Game but the girl isn't being bullied and she doesn't think of herself as ugly, she's just clueless about romance and fashion etc.
