I'm looking for a ridiculously funny shoujo/josei, something that'll make you "ROFL" and "LMAO," literally. Most comedy shoujos or joseis I've read aren't enough to make me laugh out loud. Some of the only mangas I've found to do so were Junai Tokkou Taichou! and Heaven!! and a bit of NG Life and Private Prince.

Please check my Reading List and Completed List! I went on a shoujo rampage a while ago and covered most of the popular comedy series like Dengeki Daisy, Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, and Koukou Debut.

I've also seen the anime adaptations of GTO (although it's shonen), Lovely Complex, Nodame Cantabile, Ouran High School Host Club, and Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge (The Wallflower) and don't want to read the manga versions of them because they're pretty much the same thing.

Please no yaoi or yuri, but I don't mind smut at all. Nice artwork is a huge plus since I'm really peculiar about it (not fond of Mars artwork; I prefer something more recent).

Thanks in advance! And sorry if my request is too specific!

Yamada Tarou Monogatari -- art's kinda rough art-wise, but more modern than Mars. This is HILARIOUS, so read it anyway
Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Club -- by the same mangaka of Yamada Tarou, but with much cleaner, prettier art (the guys look waaaaay better)
Carat!
Princess Princess -- even though it's labeled shounen ai, there isn't actully any aside from the jokes (unless you really want there to be, I guess)
Momogumi Plus Senki
Obaka-chan, Koigatariki

Oh, and I always enjoy re-reading Oresama Teacher, so you should do it too, if you haven't read it in a while XD

Men's School - I was practically pisses my pants when I read it. Maybe because I can also relate to it? xD Goes to an all-girls school

Houou Gakuen Misoragumi - The story itself is not developed well, but I just love the jokes. X3

Keppeki Shounen Kanzen Soubi - Oh gosh, I love the main guy... and his phobia,

Read anything by NAKAHARA Aya. Her comedies are pure gold!

@Whatever: Pretty good josei! Thanks!

@magical_poof: I started reading Yamada Tarou Monogatari and Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Club. Although the art for YTM is a bit old, it has its moments. GSHC on the other hand is friggin' hilarious! It reminds me of Junai Tokkou Taichou! soooo much and I'm cracking up already in the first volume. The artwork and humor is exactly what I'm looking for!!! Thanks for the recommendations!

@TheRandomChocolate: I read Men's School a while back and I tried to like it since it had such high ratings but I just couldn't find it funny, so I gave up halfway. I'll give the other ones you recommended a shot, thanks!

You should try reading Gokusen, it´s really, really fun.
It took me a long time to start reading it because I didn´t like the art, but when I started it, I couldn´t stop for two days (and I now love the art too).
