Ah, PDEs, my class is starting them next ... class. Funny though, my school only requires about half a semester's worth of PDEs.
I approach math like a puzzle, which makes it much more bearable. Formulas, identities, methods are all moves in this very abstract game, where the goal is to get an answer of some sort. That's how I see it, anyway.
Personally, as an engineering major, I don't care why any sorts of methods or formulas work, just that they do, and leave the theorizing and proofs to the math majors. I'm interested in results.

I like math though. Used to be pretty good at in high school. Upper levels in college, I'm just average, I'm just glad I'm done (almost - still have physics) with it! XD

Oh my God....I HATED PRE Calculus. It was so bad......I think it was harder than Calc..........

Umm.....I don't really know any good way to tell you this....but the best way to Ace Pre-cal is practice and understanding. It's a strange math that requires both understanding of the topic and many practice. Of course taking pre-cal will help you a lot in higher level math later on, assuming you will go to some form of college[calculus and so on].

I feel bad for you though......pre-cal was hell for me......send me a pm if you have ant particular problem. I'm pretty good at finding answers....just not good at taking a test.

Gawd, I took it my first sem in college, it was my first final exam too... didn't know they change the time for finas! O_O I was more two hours late... so I had to take a 3 and a half hour test in an hour. Instructor was nice enough to give me extra 15 minutes though.

I used to love math <.< I even took two math classes my freshman year....now that i'm taking pre-calculus (i'm a junior btw)....i totally hate it!!! I also love science, but chemistry takes me a while to get >.< I'm debating which science to take my science year...Physics, AP Biology, or AP Chem u.u (all of them are really hard! 🤢 ). oh yeah..i forgot to mention that i take College Forensics....it's harder than it seems...especially since my teacher doesn't teach!

I personally like math and science But to math itself im taking pre cal too and im not doing so hot... Usually i do better in math but i guess im doing bad cause i basically get bored during class cause its last class of the day and i missed like 4-5 days of class cause of sports and didnt go see what i had to learn. 🤢 Hoping to bring up my grade in math 😀 btw i have a B something in the class (not good. Anyway, Precalc isn't trig and algebra. Trig and Algebra were covered in previous math classes. The pre-calc I had in high school was more about limits, functions, infinite sequences and series, parameric equations, polar coordinates, and intermediate geometry like parabola equations, hyperbola equations and so on. Pre-calc supplements you with other areas of math so you can be prepared when you take Calculus 1-3

Yea, those too, but it had algebra and trig elements in it. It was more than 4 years ago for me >_< My memory isn't good. But yea, they offer it in college too.

not all of us had good highschools, i had to dual enroll at the comm. college during HS for precalc

[/quote]same here, bad chem II and good physics made me switch majors. physics is awesome because it has few laws and little variations while chem was all "lol heres a new acid, everything you learned before this is irrelevant. " maybe it makes more sense in later classes

I went to a normal high school..........I don't see how the school can offer calc but not pre-calc seeing how pre-calc is a lower level math comparing to calc.

HAHAHA!!! HAHAHHA!!! Good luck with that. Yeah, I studied them. Laplace Transform is a rip-off. It's just retarded in my opinion. All you ever do is Lapace and inverse Lapace, and there is your differential answer. And Fourier is like Laplace.
