Quote from TimeManInJail

Hello ladies and gents
grade 12 here, doing pre calculus and its driving me crazy more so for i'm a guy who either understand it or not. Also the problems of me being a procrastinator (sigh)
really make a dreadful combo ... well it hit me beat the shit out of me and a bullet shot through my forehead to make me understand^^ I'm starting over which was really helpful especially since teachers and friend help out. SOooo i'm still not out of the dead zone yet (fail) So was wondering what do you PEOPLE DO to live through the hellish course Exams,test,quiz....the existence of itself (haha!)
tips, problems, advices, past events ,consequences etc.!! POST THEM HERE

I can understand how you feel,(although our mathematics program is different ),like most of my friends but don't worry...i think you just lack some basics, spend more time on the subject is the only way.
I, too, am feeling the pressure of exams, tests and quizzes right now even though they don't take much time to finish.

I think the main problem here is the peers pressure, once you completely outmatch your friends you won't feel much worried when exams come, and that is really boring, believe me. And the opposite, when you have some friends who seem to be as good as you or even better, the feeling of excitement and nervousness will comeback. In the worst case, when all of your friends do better than you , the only feeling left is frustration. That is when you need to wonder why you friends can do it and you can't.

In my case, well, i m in university right now and things are getting interesting, though i will be really ffrustrattedd if i don't get perfect grades for maths and phys.

I really like math, so I can't really say I hate it XD I'm a math/science person, and not a history/english type.

I took H. Geometry in 9th grade
10th I took H. Algebra 2
and now I'm taking AP Calculus BC

I didn't take Pre-calc , though. I really like the class so far. So far the only things I dislike are derivatives >.> Limits are so much easier T.T But they're OK XD Nothing much of it since we go over understanding graphs and thinking about them rather than memorization.

I can't wait for the AP test for Ap Calc~ since our school has had 100% pass rate for a while XD , though there's criteria on who can get into the class, so if there were other people who aren't really meant of the class, the percent rate would drop dramatically ( last year it was around 22 who passed-- if i remember right, 19 got 5's 2 got a 4's and 1 person got a 3.
