MATH!
Math is the best way to describe the world that surrounds us.
It is logical and it vindicates the truth. It's not a belief.
All solid fact.
I, however, am not too fond of studying it.
If I could just install it into my brain, surely
I would, but I don't have enough patience
to put it there gradually with sweat.
I'll just pull the research slider to the right
a little bit and let 'em asperger scientists
do their biddings.

kay buddy, heres the advice of a math major.
- do your homework if you are having trouble in the class.
- make it simpler. basically look at a whole section, then take out only the necesarry formulas or whatever you need. eventually it will turn a whole chapter of math into like a page of notes (if that).
and if all else fails, start a study group. sounds cliche, but trust me, it works. that and no cramming!!!!

Math...
Oh math...=/
I used to like it...
Then I came to jh...
My dear parents never thought of getting a math tutor for me, so I had to work my ass off to get a good grade in the 4 point course...
So much time was wasted just because of that...
Maybe I studied it differently, but what's so hard in calculus?
I mean, I had to do the hard stuff there, and still... It wasn't as nearly as difficult as people make of it.
My enemy was geometry... Even trig wasn't as hard as some of those annoying problems... sigh
I still whine about how they make you take the 4 pointer if you want to study medicine...
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

Yeah, calculus isn't really that hard.
I took AP precalculus during my sophomore year, and later took AP Calculus AB during junior year, which was a horrible choice since now I'm taking BC, and it covers the same material, for now anyway. I guess my high school failed to mention the consequences of choosing one or the other.
As much as I love math it isn't my forte, I only receive B's in that class...

trigonometric integrals? (all that substitution trips me up)
triple integrals kill me when I have to figure out regions and 'specially when I have to convert between systems.
For the BC calc kids: it gets better. I took it in high school, did pretty badly in the class, did well enough on the exam that my college would have let me place out of two classes (stupid honor's only let me place out of one.) Basically, remember that the exam is way more important than the class grade.
I second jakethesnake3713; I'm an engineering major so I've taken loads of pure and applied math courses and the only way it really sinks in is if you do tons of problems, which is what homework is all about. Also, look online for tutorials and other explanations. Review books are also awesome: I've got stacks that are much better than some of my textbooks. (For anyone taking differential equations, you can't go wrong with the Schuam's guide.)
Laplace Transform is a rip-off. It's just retarded in my opinion. All you ever do is Lapace and inverse Lapace, and there is your differential answer. And Fourier is like Laplace
It's one of the few ways to make sense of analog circuits. Simplifies everything so much. (I love the transforms 'cause they're the easiest part of a linear time systems course.)

Math is my weakest subject 🤢 If there was a way to avoid it, I would but there's not. Algebra II isn't so bad and I have a good average for the class, I just don't like math. 😐

Solid Facts? More like models that fits natural observations....Math is about estimation. The best estimation of course. And assumptions.

Math is okay when you don't have to put up an effort to pass the course, otherwise it's bothersome and boring.
In other words i basically hate math which is kind of ironic since I'm studying to get a master's deggre in computer science which has lots and lots of... you guessed it, math 🙄

Derp.
You can figure stuff with math without even
being able to apply it to nature.
Physics. That is what fits our natural observations.

Math is my favorite and best subject. I never need to study it (How do you study math anyways?)
Right now, I'm taking Geometry and it's the EASIEST class ever, though algebra was also easy.
It's one class where I can always beat everyone. 😀
Next year, I'm going to take Algebra 2 and Pre Calculus. 🙂

math is my best subject. my advice is to take clean, good notes, and complete all of the homework to get it all into your head.
i wish other classes were as simple as that...
Doing nothing is very hard to do. You never know when you're done.

I hate math..I absolutely dispise it ^^
I used to be reaaally good at it, I actually had to solve advanced problems ^^ but that's all in the past ^^
now I have a really stupid teacher, she never explains it well, never axplains twice, and NOBODY can finish their tests in time.so there really has to be something wrong with that teacher.
when I don't get something, I just try to do something extra for it, and then let the teacher look at it =)
Math comes easy to me, so I can only advice doing the homework and asking the teacher for advice if you get stumped. Personally though, the only reason I even bother with the homework is because it's worth 30% of my grade and even then I procrastinate until the morning of the due date. 😛
I'm in pre-calculus right now and it's more like review of algebra II/trig than anything.

Remember the stereotype that "Asians are good in Maths"??
Well, I phaillll horribly in it
The "Asians" it is referring to are the Chinese/Japanese/Koreans/Viet etc.
Other asians don't really count...well...'cept the Indians >_>
...and yeah, I'm one of the Asians that suck at maths too 🙄

The only thing more painful than forcing myself to learn math, is trying to teach it to someone else who also hates it and has no interest in learning it. 🤢 Yet another thing I never thought about when I decided to have kids....
