I think elfen lied, that is an very violent anime/manga
oooh, and Highscool of the death (hotD) is even more violent!!!!

red eye genocide kills everybody in a bloody way. Goth had some violence. its overall tone is sick.

Berserk

Both the manga and its anime adaptation are very gory and brutal in its display of graphic violence (specifically when Griffin sacrifice the original Band of the Hawk during the Eclipse scenario).

There's nothing shocking about Jojo (well, maybe to a 9-year-old, but...); it's a bit graphic in its depictions of dead bodies and that's just about all. There are way gorier manga out there, I'm sure.

I don't know about the 'goriest' (I haven't read Koroshiya Ichi, Mai-chan or Battle Royale) but Shigurui can be fairly violent.

Parasyte was really violent in my opinion, but I don't really read the awfully violent manga, doesn't matter if I feel squeamish (I read guro regularly).

I've only seen the anime of Berserk but people tell me it's way more violent in manga form. If that's true, that's my answer.
