hi guys i'm a total romance drama addict, and i've read so many great romance/drama mangas. the ones i definitely love the most are those mangas in which the girl chases after a smoking hot guy thats way out of her league (or something close to that). eventually the cold hearted guy softens and falls for her, not without hella drama and heart aching moments. im all for those heart aching moments and then those heart melting moments, ya feel? BUT PLEASE TRY TO REFRAIN FROM MANGAS WITH DEATHS, I AM STILL DRAMATIZED FROM KITCHEN PRINCESS AND NANA.

so the types of manga i've read that are close to that are:
-Hadashi de Bara o Fume.. so so pretty and the drama, heart aching/melting moments were too good :')
-Itazura na kiss.. this was my all time absolute favorite, so something similar to that would be wonderful 😀
-Hapi Mari.. them heart aching/melting moments <3
-Papillon - Hana to Chou .. welll kinda, I just really like the drama, heart aching/ melting moments.
-V.B. Rose
-Skip Beat!.. it's getting there but its too darn long ._.
-Nana..SOO MUCH DRAMA AND HEART ACHING MOMENTS <33
-Midnight Secretary.. loves the romance

ones that have been suggested to me that i will not read unless serious persuasion are:
-kimi ni todoke.. I read the first 3 book and could not get over how boring it was
-fruits basket.. I found the storyline rather boring.

tbh i just really like the heart aching/melting moments where there's alot of** drama** and heartbreak but all becomes well eventually, i don't mind what the story line is all that much.
now gimme some sugah sugah 🤣

I recommend using bold, underline, and italics sparingly, or not at all; it's a bit hard to read. Like Syndrome said in The Incredibles, "When everyone's super, no one will be."

Fruits Basket is a classic in my book - read it. There are no deaths, and it has hilarious comedy.

Full Moon wo Sagashite - the characters are technically already dead...There are no deaths in the present storyline, so it should be fine.

my bad, got it. the italics were suppose to be comments .-.
for fruits basket, I know animes dont do justice for the manga, but the storyline was so uninteresting that after a few episodes I didn't want to continue. does it get better somehow?

Some of these may or may not be what you're looking for, but I hope you do enjoy the suggestions

Hana no Namae
Kare First Love
Meteor Methuselah happy ending.
Daisuki Datta yo, Sensei... to an extent (just the main story)
Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou ... okay maybe not so much on the heartwarming >.> Oh and watch out for the extra- that one does have a sad ending

Ongoing
Horimiya
Kami-sama Hajimemashita
Lip Smoke >.>
Pochamani
Dengeki Daisy

As for Fruits Basket I would say it's a lot better than the anime. I watched the first episode or two and thought it was horrible in comparison. It does get better storywise and has a nice ending.

Sidenote- manga name is how you would link manga on posts to the site.

Though it is shoujo Ai I would HIGHLY recommend Sasameki koto It tore my heart to pieces and it just revolves around the just relationship aspect and goes no where near the bedroom, so to speak. But it fits the "... heart aching moments. im all for those heart aching moments and then those heart melting moments..." to a 'T.' Again I can not recommend this series enough I absolutely love this series and I share it with every one lol.

Fruits Basket had a particularly bad anime; I heard the mangaka got into an argument with the director and refused to let them even continue it after the first season. The plot is somewhat slow, but when it starts up, it really starts up. I assure you that it gets very heartaching when it does.

I think you missed

BUT PLEASE TRY TO REFRAIN FROM MANGAS WITH DEATHS I AM STILL DRAMATIZED FROM KITCHEN PRINCESS AND NANA.

also

and then those heart melting moments from the OP.

As for Chrono Crusade I don't remember the ending ... but after looking at the ending thread for that series, again I don't think it's what the OP is looking for... combined with your so sad comment (Nameless Forest)

Sidenote- Although some of my suggestions may lack a bit on the heart melting moments, there is no death of a main character at the end.

 • OP maybe you can change "BUT PLEASE TRY TO REFRAIN FROM MANGAS WITH DEATHS I AM STILL DRAMATIZED FROM KITCHEN PRINCESS AND NANA." from cap to just bold and change the color to red. It would be text [//color] (take out one of the / for the last bracket)

ahhh, it seems much more promising now. perhaps i'll read it soon (:
Full Moon is a manga from Arina Tanemura, I love her works.. that one I'll definitely be reading.

Kare First Love, Daisuki Datta yo, Sensei, Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou, Lip Smoke, and Watashi ni shinasai have been added to my wishlist. They look like some great reads. thanks guys (:

I didn't mean for that part to be as "big" of a deal. I mean of course I don't want to read a manga where the two main characters fall in love but then one of them dies, but other deaths if absolutely crucial to the storyline is in the story.. I guess I have to man up and deal with it. It's kinda like a please try to stay away, if you can. That's why it's only in caps and does not stand out otherwise. I will choose more careful wording now. sorry for that.

Because someone else will definitely inform of you of this, I thought I should take the early bait: you should have edited your post and not triple posted. :'( <3

As for recs, you should try Akuma de Sourou .

If that's the case then I also recommend Bokura Ga Ita. It is a real tear-jerker, especially the anime. </3 It's been a few years since I've read it but it fits the bill and I enjoyed it overall.
