So I am looking for any manga (or anime or show or movie or book) that has realistically portrayed sex, but it's still sweet-just more tender and intimate. None of this "No! Stop, whoever-kun-" "whatever-chan, you're so cute <3"
As for the couple, I usually like couples that balance each other out, so they're opposite personalities yet they have a connection. Most of the main male leads I come across are these cool, cold types, but if they're too emotionless, they put me to sleep right on my feet. Even when they suddenly whip out some intense emotion, it's just so ridiculous to me that I just stop reading altogether. As for female leads, I don't like the ones who are easily impressed by looks or persona-"whatever-kun is so cool <3" cheesy montage of whatever-kun's coolness (which is usually just him expressionlessly staring off into the distance) soon follows. I don't like protagonists who are shallow or stupid, constant crying I can usually handle, but if she's stupid, and there's a difference between silly and stupid (for example, I would categorize Nodame from Nodame Cantabile as silly and definitely NOT stupid), then there's no helping it and all the characters are doomed to a life of misery. So yes, I usually read Shoujo or Josei just because the art styles are to my taste. Not a big fan of ecchi, it kind of makes me throw up a little in the back of my throat for some reason.

Sex scene criteria!
-A connection between the couple is expressed well in scene(s)
-Tenderness and intimacy is awesome

No-nos
-Domineering male and unwilling female make awkward passes at each other with their crotches
-Stupid characters, female or otherwise
-Expressionless faces during the act (creepy)
-Weird smiles or smirks during said act (again, creepy. I'd probably punch the person's face out of reflex mid-action)
-I would prefer the couple were more proportioned to each other, like I would like a male who isn't Xerxes' cousin from 300(who is obviously a big fan of the flashy neanderthal look) and a female who's failed to graduate from Munchkin-land (Lovely Complex is an exception even though they don't have sex)

trysakuranbo syndrome, the drama's pretty intense and the development's highly realistic, though the central theme is plenty odd.
try tama from third street, compiled in mecha mucha h.
the last arc of shitai kara suru no is plenty sweet, while the first arc is intense. try it.
there one manga called musunde hiraite which is so sweet, although it doesn't has sex scene in it.
