Edit: Here's some manga that don't exactly fit your request, but I think you'd like them:
Paradox Blue [more school-life and less detective like, but it does involve solving mysteries and stuff]
Doll Star [more supernatural than Sherlock-ish]
Time Eliminator [does involve use of technology, but the protagonist uses his brain more XD]
Mythical Detective Loki
Cuticle Tantei Inaba [not really Sherlock-ish I guess but amusing i guess... lol]
Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru

Zennou no Noa - The World of Lostmemories
its not really detective, but a brilliant guy and i can second a lot of the named choices since i adore detective manga's
but this will be worth your while... its not out so long yet so a definite turn on
(it can beat code geass in my eyes... and if you know code geass imagine how high my opinion is of this manga)

I second psychometrer eiji
remote I don't know whether it's too ecchi for you....all I remember are panty-shots and.....mature content.besides that it should fit perfectly.no supernatural but only an ingenious detective

Detective Conan? It was the first thing that came to mind - there are most likely many others.
I second that ^.^ that's the only detective manga i know of... although it becomes pretty repetitive at the end... 😛

Right now i'm reading deka wanko, its about police investigation.Less mystery but its funny and at least I can read for the first time a policewomen set as main character.
I will try other series until I finished deka wanko.Thank you for all the wonderful suggestion...can't wait to read the rest. 😀

I think Death Note is worth a mention here. Sure, the protagonist isn't the detective, in fact he's the bad guy, but if you're looking for a manga with smart storytelling and a detective genius with deductive skills, you have to read it.
It's pretty dark, but it is by far the most intelligent manga I have ever read. Don't miss it.

Shorts:
Goth
K no Souretsu
Stone Cold
Long:
Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro Even though it has 'demon' stuff in it, the main female become very deductive near the end and
even become a legitimate detective when the demon leaves

A lot have already been mentioned so I will throw a few in that deviate slightly but you might like anyway.
I third Death Note and Spiral: Suiri no kizuna
Also try Matantei Loki - supernatural mysteries but all solved using logic.
Kuroshitsuji - not really a detective but there are mysteries and logic involved.
Banana Fish - this involves a teenage genius who amazes those around him but isn't a detective story.
If you like anime I recommend Code: Geass. There are no detectives but if genuises and logic games are your thing this is a must!
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.
