Not enough romance... Relabel?

There are a lot of manga series that have hints of romance in them and are labelled romance. I wish I could think of a name for them, but I can't. They're not really romance manga, but they confuse people looking for romance series with their romantic labeling.
Romance to me is something like Suzuka, Emma, Mars, Karin, Tsuki no Shippo, etc... Stuff that is all about romance, not stuff that has a little hint of romance in it like Chrono Crusade, Mx0, Rosario to Vampire, Tokyo Crazy Paradise, Seikai Trilogy.
That's my opinion.
Should the romance manga that are not romantic enough be relabeled?

Who's going to define what's enough and what's not?

Agreed.
But I understand where you're trying to get at. Even so, love is love, correct? So even if the entire story doesn't revolve around the love between tow people, the love is still there, there for romance is also there.
I guess what you're looking for more specifically is the display of romance between two people. It's labeled correctly, you're just looking for something a little more specific. I guess it that case you would just have to read the summary and decide for yourself, what is and isn't.

IMO, no. I still consider the examples you gave romance. I would've agreed with you if it was something like Bleach, Naruto or Reborn.

No matter what you say, there is still romance. It doesn't make much of a difference if there isn't "Enough" either way its still a clear aspect of the series if it does have the Romance tag.

It's annoying to do a search for Romance and you get hundreds of them, then you read one of the descriptions and give the manga shot just find out that it's no where near what you were looking for.
It's easy to tell the Action or comedy genre's when you do a search, but romance is the one that is too broad, IMHO.

I understand completely with what your saying and i agree. However, i don't exactly think that they should completely get rid of the romance label maybe make like "minor genre" or something to implicate that the romance is a minor part to the story and on the side. This way it is easier to know which manga are romance centered. I've often had trouble seeking for romance manga and had the similar problem.
Surely its easy enough to understand if the whole manga is centered around the romance or not. For example one can tell that Suzuka and others are ALL about a romantic relationship, while Detective Conan still has a decent amount of romance but the story is centered about solving crimes and the single boy-changing mystery.

so if thats the point then you should also relabel some shoujo stuff that has action and martial arts in it even though theres not much??
the point is... the romance is already there...its up to the reader if they will consider it like this or like that...or something like that...
get what i mean?? 😀
oh please do click this!

I see your point, but I voted no because I love the little touches of romance instead of full-blown drama and if they relabled it, how will I find it then??!!

There seriously needs to be a "main genre" section, and a "sub genre" section. That way, you can look for mystery action manga that contain a whiff of romance, but not enough to distract you from the action/mystery. 😮

i dont particularly care for the labeling since i enjoy almost all mangas with romance.but a genre called pre-romance [or something like that] would be really nice [and funny].so we could sort out whether its a fluffy romance or just a tint of romance.

I really like romance, but 100% romance manga are most of the time too romatic (you get the idea what I want to say). If a manga is only about romance it must have a very good story so that it doesn't become boring.
My favourite manga are actually the ones with hints of romance like
Erementar Gerad. It has action parts, a good story and the romance is mixed together with it in the right spots, just like i like it.
On the other hand I don't like manga with only action and no romance at all not very much, so in my case I would even appreciate it if more manga with hints of romance would be labeled with it.

Oh, I like that. It would allow to differ whether something has a certain genre as a main feature of the story or just as an undertone.
I hate it when I recommend something to people and get as answer "I don't read that." when the respective elements are actual very vague and not comparable with series that feature them mainly. The label is not wrong since it IS there but it's just so little represent in the story that it's usually not disturbing for people who ain't into this genre.
Sorry, I'm Late.
But I Got Lost On The Road Of Life.
Even if there's only a little romance in the story and it's not the main focus, I still think it should be labelled as such. But I do agree on the main genre/sub genre idea ~ it would help if you wanted to narrow down your search... 😐
